Q:- Does it prevent and absorb flood water in corners of the outside of a garage? - Can the city issue a violation ticket if an inspector saw it ?

Answer This Question

A:  Yes, our barriers can curve around the corner of the outside of a garage and will absorb and divert water. There should be no city or state violations with placing a flood barrier or flood bag outside on your property.

Q:Does it work well in the yard? In grass?

    Answer This Question

A:  Yes, we have one on the grass along a fence to keep our neighbors pool run off and erosion. They work great.

A:  Yes, it will work in the yard and grass. We recommend that you pre-active the bags prior to placing them in your yard even halfway.

      by|Feb 27, 2023

A:  We use these in our backyard along the driveway that slopes toward the house. During heavy rain, it has helped tremendously in allowing our drains to absorb the rain and not back up, and then eventually leak into the house. I have never used these on grass.

Q:Can this be folded so that it will cover across a sliding glass door.

          Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it can be folded or you can buy various lengths to fit the size.

          by|Jan 6, 2023

A:  We suggest laying the Flood Barriers in front of the openings & overlapping the beginning & ending of the opening to catch the water & redirect it away. They can be folded in half but at first activation- they become very full- so we suggest folding & placing it & then activating with a hose to get it started so it doesn't move out of position. After that- the oncoming water can fully activate them.

            by|Jan 5, 2023

A:  I think you would be better off buying shorter lengths and layering them.

Q:Is this something you could put in front of a door in case of a flood? The basement part of my apt. has flooded through the door before (from a boiler room leak) If I put this inside of my door, would it stop the water from coming in if it happens again?

                Answer This Question

A:  Yes it is! Our Flood Barrier will prevent any water from flowing past it, thereby preventing your apartment from flooding.

A:  I am currently using them outside to surround my shed that is on a cement foundation in order for the water not to ruin the foundation. They absorb quite a bit of water and do take days to dry.

                    Did the trick
We put this around a low area beside a house foundation leak while waiting for the ground to thaw so it can be fixed. It helped a ton. Previously there was water audibly pouring in the basement walls during heavy rain in late Feb. We made a little roof out of tarps and chairs to redirect water outside of the barrier. It soaked up the water and got really heavy. It has kept it out through multiple heavy rains since then. It has also frozen and thawed a bunch and is still intact. It is super heavy and has stayed in place for 6 weeks now. Totally happy with this purchase, I only wish I knew this existed before the winter rains. Would love if they had a size shorter than this but longer than the next size down.

Just a great product, especially for emergencies
I grew up in the south and filling and throwing sandbags have been a part of my life in the past. When I see products like these I know someone is out there pushing for better and smarter ways of doing things. The product really saved me some headaches.

Purchased to help against rise in river, with possible result of over our seawall. Utilized per instructions, and guess what...didn't do anything to stop water flow. Turns out water came over seawall and might as well not have purchased this product. Recently went to look at seawall and pulled flood barrier from under water on our property. This product was underwater and flat as a pancake. If I could get a refund, believe me I would want my money back. Utilized seven of these and way too expensive for doing nothing. I don't believe you will want to add me to the contest below.

NOPE. See picture. The picture shows the first two 10 foot Quick Dams. The water was seeping right under the dams (away from brick fireplace). We were hoping the Dams would hold the water back. The water wouldn't stop coming so we purchased the 17 ft Dam and laid it between these other Quick Dams and the fireplace bricks. NOPE. Water seeps under these on a smooth concrete floor with ease. We are at wits end and need a solution. There have been so many storms here the basement people are busy for weeks out. Any suggestions?!

Only doing half the job, I bought this because of the size which is perfect for outside my patio but when I went to check it today after it arrived found out the inside material is coming out so only half of this product is protecting my patio the other half isn't doing the job. Now I have to buy a small piece to protect the other half of my patio. Very disappointed.

I had to use these to flood a section of a flat roof to eliminate a guessing situation for a roof leak. I was able to build a 4 in deep pool with little water loss at the seams with these. Hard to keep water tight were the end meets each other and once they are wet they weigh a ton but awesome product especially if its for a flood leak situation and you need something fast.

BEST PRODUCT EVER !!!!!!! We have an old sandstone basement and water will seep in when the ground is saturated. We keep these around the inside perimeter of the basement year round; and we've been using the same Quick Dams for over 2 years! They dry out and fill up over and over. We used to have water seeping in and running under the furnace. Not anymore! I can't say enough good about all the Quick Dam products! Saved us from continually mopping up a wet basement!

This is a great product that is easy to work with. It would be good if the materials was more sturdy to avoid the absorbent material from spilling out

                              These are my go too
These simply work. Whenever we get heavy rain the front of my garage gets flooded. Then it wants to come in and ruin my garage and all the items on the floor. Not any more! Simply rolled one of these out in front of the garage and I have had up to 6 inches or more of water come down. All contained with this dam. Then once the sun comes out and the water drains away. These dry up and i leave them there. I am getting almost a year out of each one. So i keep four on hand at all times.
