Q:For such a nice looking product (for being a dust pan) why does it have to look like crap coz the sticker doesn't come off? I really hope the PM sees this coz this is absolutely a amateur hour!

A:  There are spray on sticker remover products that work quite well and make the job of removal much easier. I would recommend the use of one of these products.

A:  Try using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften up the adhesive. You'll know when it's hot enough when you try peeling a corner up and it comes off easy. More often than not stickers will peel right off with little to no adhesive left. One of the advantages of this method is that you don't have sticky residue to clean off. I've used this method on bumper stickers, windows, etc. both old and new.

A:  Amateur hour was using a metal razor blade to try and remove it, and then wondering why your dust pan has scratches on it. Rating a dust pan on its sticker instead of its ability to pick up dust and debris is also amateur hour. I used Goo Gone orange gel and a plastic razor blade and had it off and adhesive-free in about 10mins. Sounds like you need yourself a box of plastic razor blades. They're super useful in many cases.

A:  Just use it as designed and don't worry about the sticker.

A:  I agree on the sticker issue. Why does it have to be so hard to get it off. I got my off, but it left a patch of glue the size of the sticker that draws dirt to itself.

A:  Not everything is water soluble, chemistry.

A:  I like this dustpan to pick up sand and debris in my driveway and garage; however, I was looking for the stainless steel ones they used to sell at Home Depot. This is very lightweight, and soldered to the handle. It may last a while, but I wouldn’t use it for heavy duty clean ups. It may not hold up.

A:  Just leave it on. Doesn't hurt anything.

A:  Thank you for your question. We suggest trying Goo Gone or Goof Off to remove the sticker.-Quickie

A:  There is a spray can of bumper sticker remover - it will work. Try looking on line.

Always loved these classic dustpans. Light weight, big, wide and hugs the floor. Just needed a new one for a new house.

                    Like a shop debris shovel!
I'd say I use this pan at least once a day. I make big messes in my shop on a very regular basis and have to sweep up everything from sawdust to nails and screws to bits of insulation, mud, metal shavings, wire and any manner of other project scrap. I make HUGE piles of dust and debris on my floor and I've never had any issues picking any of it up with this pan. I tend to use it as a hand shovel first and just scoop up the bulky bits until I have a smaller pile of just dust left over. Then I use a broom to sweep up whats remaining. This pan works great for either method and the handle is both comfortable and strong, allowing you to really carry an overflowing load with it. A shop pan needs to be big and sturdy because the kinds of things you'll be sweeping up out here are much different than what a typical household pan can handle.

Sticker on dust pan drove me crazy
I just got this dust pan and when I got home I spent over a half an hour trying to remove the sticker on it. I was so frustrated I used goof off, a razor blade and also a dry cloth to see if that would clean it. Well after all this wasted energy and time on a freaking sticker I still could not remove all the gumminess. Now I have a dust pan that is scratched and dirt sticks to the spot where the ferocious sticker still lives on. I would recommend this dust pan if I could peel the sticker off with no clean up but I can not in good conscience wish this chore on any other person.

It's a dust PAN. It works very well made of aluminum. Don't drop it or you'll dent it.

Good as a dust pan, and great at picking up light stuff to move it - wider than most shovels and easy to move.
