Easy to install floor heating
This floor heating is going under my vinyl floor in the bathroom. The install looks like it will be fairly easy - the instruction are very detailed. This section of heating is wired on both ends so I can cut the mat wherever I need for two pieces. This lets you utilize as much as possible from each roll.
Product is super thin and easy to lay out on the floor. Install goes really quickly if you are prepared with the correct materials and tools. Carefully following the instructions is not difficult - if proper time is taken. 12 watts per square foot - 120v only.
Ok, install is simple - I watched a few youtube videos and compared to instructions to make the install easy. Need to add underlayment and confirm flooring surface is approved for heat. A thermostat is also highly recommended - for control and safety.
I plan to purchase more of this heating system for the bedroom when we replace that floor next. Measure twice and cut carefully!

Has Some Benefits for Some Applications, but Potentially Weak Performance for Some Applications
I was intrigued with this approach to radiant floor systems. I have used the WarmWire system in a couple of my bathrooms, and have been happy with that. This system is a bit lower cost for the heating elements, which are constructed with screen printed carbon/silver sandwiched inside plastic sheets. This has the advantage of a very thin construction, and therefore will not add appreciably to the floor thickness. The only exception is at the ends where the wires connect. The WarmWire and other floor heating systems tend to add at least 1/4 inch to the floor construction, and once needs to plan out the floor design to ensure that the total construction lines up with adjacent floors.
I was disappointed to see that this floor heater is intended only for floating floors, as this greatly limits my ability to utilize this system. Other heating systems tend to be a bit more flexible as to where they can be used: most of my applications are under hardwood and ceramic tile. The lower wattage of this unit also concerns me, especially in applying over a concrete floor in the basement.
Note that the unit does NOT include the controller, which is about $150. Considering that added cost, this unit is a bit lower in overall cost but to me the advantages of other systems (such as higher heat output and flexibility)is worth the extra investment. This unit also restricts the dimensions that one can use: it can be cut in half and each half can be used, but systems like WarmWire can be used in any shape as it is a wire that is laid down.
Perhaps this system would be good for some people's needs, but for me it falls short for my applications.

Warm floors are perfect!
This Quiet Warmth floor heating system is great! You will need to purchase the QuietWarmth thermostat to control it (also available through Home Depot). I would suggest getting the 7-day programmable thermostat so you can schedule the days and time the warmer is on and to also determine what temperature you want. I already have this system in my master bathroom and LOVE IT!!! Make sure you get the matting which is the correct size for your room. This mat can be cut (keep attached to each other on one end). So if you have a 10x10 room, this mat is a perfect size. When cut, it becomes 6 x 8-1/2 and you don't want the heat to go all the way to the edges of the room because you don't walk along the very edges of your room. You will need a professional electrician (or someone with sufficient knowledge) to wire the wall thermostat and to make sure the "sensor wire" is in the correct position under the flooring. This system is for floating floors (see pic for details). I can't even explain to you how nice it is to walk on warm floors in the winter time. The ambient heat makes it so cozy and inviting! Nothing like climbing out of a shower and onto a warm floor! I wish I would have put this throughout my entire home when it was being renovated!

Mat Only
Received this in the mail a couple weeks ago, unfortunately this didn't come with a controller so I wasn't able to test it, and the controllers alone are quite pricey and I won't be investing in something I won't be personally using, I just had to let that be known, so my review will be only on looks, the mat is really smooth and it says it goes over the flooring soundproofing but under the actual flooring that makes sense, it's thick plastic, and the trim lines are well defined

Love this product it warms the floor very well, evenly (no hot spots) and easy to install. I found it was a bit tricky to connect the thermostat because the thermostat needs to be also 120V. I installed this in our basement in my small office and it worked fantastic. The heating mats are very thin and worked great under vinyl click lock flooring planks. I connected the mats to a thermostat and 20 AMP light switch that I had left from a project years ago and it is working great. When work in my office my toes are toasty and we do not have to run the space heater at all.

Heated flooring film
This is an amazing heating film that can be installed under a floating floor. If you have a room where your kids play or a family room or something and prefer to have a warm floor this film is the perfect answer. It is not so difficult to install and your do not need a bunch more components to make it happen. I would definitely recommend this product.

Warm morning floors
It's nice to have a gentle electric radiant heat system installed under our bathroom laminate floor. Being able to cut mats in the middle and use both ends of mat made installing a pleasure. The low profile, line voltage system features gradual warmth. Installed easily over a subfloor, it uses just 12-Watt per square foot to gently raise the temperature of the floor, conforming to the warranty requirements of our new floors. The system, which sports an impressive 99% efficiency, includes temperature limiting properties so the film does not overheat. Very satisfied with this product.

Great product, however it failed local home inspector as the product is not UL listed, it is only UL referenced and the inspector said it cannot be installed in any home in the US unless it is listed by a qualified organization like UL.
