Product Details

A gentle electric radiant heat system designed specifically for dry installation under floating wood and laminate floors. A low profile, line voltage system, it features gradual warmth from low wattage resistance heating of ultra-thin, flexible radiant heat film. Installed easily over a subfloor or over an acoustic/insulating underlayment as part of the overall floor assembly, it uses just 12-Watt per square foot to gently raise the temperature of the floor, conforming to the warranty requirements of many floating floors. The system, which sports an impressive 99% efficiency, includes temperature limiting properties so the film does not overheat. Its available in four convenient rollout mat sizes that will accommodate most any layout. Each mat has wires pre-attached for ease of installation.
  • Use with most floating laminate, engineered wood and floating tile floors
  • Uses an highly-efficient conductive ink technology
  • Disperses an evenly consistent heat throughout the entire floor
  • Will not add extra height to the floor, only 0.016 in. thick
  • Consumes up to 50% less power than traditional wired systems
  • Easy to install roll out, cut length to fit if needed and run pre-attached wires to a wall thermostat
  • No mortar and no mess
  • Conforms to many floating floor manufacturers requirements
  • Maintenance free, crafted to not completely shut down if the system should ever become compromised or damaged
  • Adjust temperature with quiet warmth thermostat (sold separately)

Q:Can this be installed over concrete slab floor?
by|Sep 7, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Yes, this product can be installed over concrete. You will have to at least put a vapor barrier down between the concrete and the QuietWarmth mat. We recommend one of our QuietWalk underlayment products that have a vapor barrier to add some additional R-Value and increase the efficiency of the QuietWarmth system.

          3 foot x 25 foot heated flooring
This review is for the Quiet Warmth 240 Volt floor heating pad. We ordered this online and it arrived on time and was packaged well. There did not appear to be any damage to the box or the heating element. Inside the box was the heating pad with wiring leads and an instruction booklet. For these heating pads to work, you'll need to add a dedicated 240 Volt breaker, and thermostat to control the pads. For my particular situation, I need 4 of these heating mats each trimmed to around 20 feet. The mats are 3 feet wide each with their own wire leads.

          Best System By Far
This review is for the QuietWarmth 3 ft. x 25 ft. 120-Volt Radiant Floor Heating System for Laminate, Vinyl, and Floating Floors (Covers 75 sq. ft.) This is the best system by far that covers all the necessary bases without you having to take extra steps to get it where you want it. You can cut this pad to length which means you can cover more floor with no gaps in heat. Also has temperature sensor built in, as is the ground fault when you use this makers thermostats. A lot of engineering multi in.

          Quality construction
My husband has been complaining for years that the shop floor is too cold in the winter. We have tried area rugs and rubber mats, But the rugs get filthy and both slide around and are trip hazards. We finally decided to just put down a floating floor and use underlayment in a framed-in area around his workbench. This matt will allow him to turn on and off heat under his feet at will. No more standing on a cold, hard concrete floor! Although it is extremely thin material it's seems to be very rugged and durable! No more cold feet!

          nice warm floors!
I have heated floors in my tiled master bath and I'm getting ready to rip up the carpet in my cottage bedroom to add these heat mats. I have a cement slab in half of the room because I added an addition onto it. I'm putting down rigid vinyl flooring (floating type because you cannot use glue or nail-down flooring) in the bedroom but first I need to buy a cement vapor barrier insulated underlayment (as required in the instructions). I already had the QuietWarmth programable thermostat to go with this floor warmer. I love that the mats are super thin and do not add any height to the floor! The heating elements are throughout the entire pad so you don't have to worry about cold spots. You lay this system only in the areas you need it, making sure it's at least 6" from the walls and also not in areas where you are putting flat (against the floor) items such as bean bag chairs or heavy rugs or flat bottom dressers. (See pics for info on types of approved flooring and precautions). You can add on more Quietwarmth mats to complete your configuration and they can be attached to each other so that they are all controlled by one single thermostat. Make sure you don't lay down all the flooring located near the thermostat wiring, as you will need to make sure that the floor sensor wire is put under that part of the floor before completing the job. What I also love is that this radiant heating mat also adds warmth to the actual room too! By the way, I had help from an electrician when attaching the different sized mats and also wiring the thermostat. You don't want to spend time and money putting in the flooring and then realize you didn't wire it correctly, so make sure you test it out before you put in the flooring! For those who are wondering, this radiant floor heating system hardly adds to your electric bill so don't hesitate to buy it!

          Doesn't heat floor
Doesn't heat the floor. I followed the instructions(which weren't great) to a T. Used the recommended underlayment, tested all the electrical components, but the floor just doesn't heat. I've currently got it set at 100 degrees F, my floor is 63 degrees. It's been about 9 days since I installed it and turned it on. The unheated floor sections are about 58 degrees. So I know it's heating, it's just not heating much. Not worth the time and effort. I regret buying it.

Warms Room, But Don't Believe "Pennies Per Day"
We purchased 4 of these mats, along with the required thermostat, to extend the use of a 3-season porch. Part of the logic was that the cost of heating a room was 'pennies per day'. It is, IF you consider $4 dollars per day 'pennies'. Our electric bill went up over $120 the first full month the mats were online. The heating is prohibitively expensive and we will probably have to replace the brand new floor as well.
