A: Please consult local building code to determine whether the use of reinforcement is suitable for your construction project and to ensure compliance regarding required concrete strength. Steel reinforcement is generally recommended for concrete placements in excess of 4-5” in thickness.
A: There is nothing that makes 5000 psi set up faster than 3000 psi. It’s just has a harder setting strength. They sell fast setting concrete or quick Crete that’s a little bit more money if you want it to dry faster
A: QUIKRETE® 5000 Concrete Mix does not set faster than QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix. It has a higher cement loading, so it will gain strength faster, but it is still a normal-setting concrete.
A: Each 50-pound bag of QUIKRETE® 5000 Concrete Mix will yield approximately 3/8 cubic feet. To pour a 70 square foot slab at 4” thick, you will need 23-1/3 cubic feet of concrete, or 63 50-pound bags. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.
