QUIKRETE® Quik-Tubes are wax-lined cardboard building forms. They are not designed, and are not evaluated for water-repelling capacity.
QUIKRETE® QUIK-TUBE Building Forms can be used for installations smaller than four feet in depth. The forms are easily cut to size with a hand-saw or utility knife.
QUIKRET® cannot provide structural engineering recommendations. We recommend contacting a design professional in your area familiar with local building codes. Once the installation design is established, we will be glad to recommend products which will fill your requirements.
QUIKRETE® QUIK-Tube® Building Forms are not suitable for dry-placement installations as the tubes are was coated and will not permit water transfer to and from the surrounding soil to ensure proper curing.
About 20 years ago I was building a covered front porch on my house, which was located on a barrier island. The inspector would not approve footings made with the tubes. It would be best to contact your county or town for advice on your project.

It depends if you’re putting anything in it, like a fence post or something. But if you’re using it for a deck footer then the 12” took a little over (2) 80 lb bags if I recall correctly. So the 10” would probably take a little less than (2) 80 lb bags.
Just did two 10” tubes…full 48” and 3 - 80 lb bags each was plenty.
Ten-inch QUIKRETE® Quik-Tubes require one 80-pound bag of QUIKRETE® Concrete Mix per foot of depth. Yields will vary with waste, uneven subgrade, etc.
QUIKRETE® Building Forms are designed so they can be easily cut with a box cutter or similar razor blade.
