wrong thickness!
This is a review on the service and not the material. I ordered online 5 of the 2” foam boards and had to cut them in half so they would fit in the area i have to store them in until i can get them installed. After i had cut all but one of the boards i noticed some were a little thinner than others. Well you guessed it, i received 2 boards at 1.5” thickness and 3 at 2” thickness thst i had ordered. The 2 are going to be returned! And i don’t care if i have already cut one in half. I need the material I purchased and paid for!

    Worked great in our basement
We are finishing the basement in our 1940 home. We used this product up against the concrete block walls and framed our 2x4 walls in front of it. We will be adding unfaced batt insulation in the walls and then covering the studs with a poly vapor barrier and then drywalling. The R-Tech EPS foam board is messy, but nothing the shopvac cannot make quick work of. We used a a drywall tee to mark our measurements, scored the facing with a utility knife and then a hand saw to cut it.

Worked as designed. EPS is better than XPS in long term studies and about half the price. No issues with walking all over it while placing PEX and rebar.

Easy to work with and lightweight. Using it in my cargo vehicle I'm building out as an RV. An electric 'hot knife' makes it cut like butter and cuts can be very precise for a tight fit (though it smells like burning plastic when it's being melted by the hot knife).

Great for DIY craft projects. I wanted huge 42 inch round and 52 * 32 inch oval foam boards for a craft project. I found this insulation board in Home Depot store at Monterey hwy SanJose but was not sure how to cut it in the required shapes, also it was not possible to carry the huge foam board in the car if it was not cut into manageable sizes in store. Konstantine, a store associate there, was very kind to help me cut the foam board in perfect oval and round shapes. Many Thanks to him and other store associates who were very helpful.

It is a little messy to work with, but I felt it was worth it in the long run. I measured and cut it with a small porcelain knife. I felt a saw would make a bigger mess, and I was just using it for a SHE SHED, lol. I only needed a broom for clean up, and it seems to be keeping the temp reasonable even though it is winter.
