RainGuard Wood Sealer is a penetrating water repellent that dries down to a clear, invisible finish. It has a non-yellowing, low odor, zero VOC, and non-toxic formula, making it safe for people, pets, and plants. It is formulated to not be affected by weathering, salt, dirt, freezing temperatures, UV light, and wind-driven rain, among many other damaging elements. Wood Sealer dries down to a clear, invisible finish that does not change the surface texture or color. Ideal for use on uncoated/unpainted, vertical/horizontal, interior/exterior wood surfaces such as: wooden fences, garden fences, raised garden beds, decks, patios, wooden indoor/outdoor furniture, tables, and any other porous wood surfaces.

Deep penetrating 100% breathable water repellent for vertical/horizontal, interior and exterior, wood surfaces
Does not alter surface appearance - leaves no surface film, no sheen, and will not yellow
Water-based formula is safe for people, pets, and plants
Covers up to 200 sq. ft. / gallon depending on surface porosity
At least 2 flood coats are needed - additional coats may be needed depending on surface porosity or if applying with a roller
Protection not affected by weathering or UV light
Excellent mold and mildew inhibitor stops growth dead in its tracks
Protects wood surfaces against wind driven rain
Simple one day application - apply second coat when first coat is dry to the touch
At 75°F Wood Sealer is dry to the touch at 1 hour and can accept light foot traffic at 1 hour and heavy foot traffic/tire traffic in 8 hours
Fully cures (visually beads water) in as few as 5-7 days at 75°F
Apply in cold weather down to 40°F (4.4°C)
Easy clean-up with soap and water
Protects surface for up to 5 years

Answer This Question

A: Yes, spraying is the recommended method of application. You would get a better, more even coat and penetration. With that being said, you may also apply with a roller. Keep in mind, you will need to do 3 rolled coats to every 1 spray coat to ensure proper coverage and protection.
