This non-destructive moisture detector measures moisture content in tiles, wood and building materials by simply running the probe over the surface area. The R6010 is capable of measuring up to 1.6 in. (40mm) and features user adjustable alarms and built-in self calibrating functions.

For plaster on wood lath, what will the device measure - moisture in the plaster or the wood, or in between? What numerical value indicates an acceptably dry condition? Does metal lath between wood lath and plaster affect the measurement? Thanks!
Hello, this device will measure moisture between 0.8 to 1.6" in depth. Depending on the thickness of the plaster and wood, the Moisture Meter could measure a single material or both. The device will display relative moisture readings between 0 and 100%. The "RISK" alarm will go off at 30% by default, and the "WET" alarm will go off at 60% by default (though these alarms are user adjustable). The presence of metal could interfere with the Moisture Meter's electromagnetic sensor and provide unreliable measurements.
will this device detect moisture in under vinyl flooring?
