This infrared thermometer features a 30:1 distance to spot ratio and is capable of measuring temperatures up to 1472°F (800°C). The R2320 has the ability to track maximum, minimum, average and differential readings and includes a bright color display for ease of use in both sunlight and dimly lit environments. Tri-color LEDs quickly indicate when temperatures are within set parameters (green), above (red) or below (blue).

Can this be used to check the temp of a person.
While the unit can be used safely on the human body, the R2320 is more of an industrial IR thermometer and is not medical grade. That being said, Infrared Thermometers can identify individuals with a higher than average temperature in relation to a sample population (50 people). Once a reference temperature is established, measurements should be compared to the baseline temperature rather than focusing on the number being measured.
