A: Rid-X is a septic tank maintainer only. It is different than a main line cleaner. I wouldn't use the two together as the cleaner may "kill" the effectiveness of the Rid-X.

A: No it is not a problem it will just be more concentrated in your septic tank and break down waste quicker if you are like me and missed a dose here and there or if you just moved in and it has never been used before then you probably needed it anyway. We used a whole bottle when we first moved into our rental and it didn't cause any problems at all. I hope this helps.
