not durable but performs well
It's a nicer hose than the default but it broke quickly at where it was connected to the included adapter. I am very disappointed.

Much better than stock hose
This hose is far superior to the stiff plastic one that came with my vacuum. I would have liked to given it a 5 star review. But a couple of aggravating things kept me from doing that.
1. I have a Ridgid WD12450 vacuum. The text states that the hose fits all Ridgid 2-1/2" configurations and includes adapters to fit. After scratching my head for a while, I figured out that the furnished adapters will not fit my vacuum. My vacuum inlet measures 2-11/16" ID and the included adapters are 2-1/4" OD. BUT, I can take the adapter off my old hose and the new hose will fit onto it.
Why not a statement on the web page or in the instructions that it "may be necessary to use your old adapters in some cases"? Save a lot of time.
2. The hose is advertised as being 10 feet long. It is exactly 9 feet. With the adapter cuffs, it measures 9' 4-1/2" long. Somewhere a foot of hose is missing.

Just like a Car Wash Vacuum Hose
I am very happy and satisfied with this pro hose. Perfect for car cleaning and love the orange color and fit like a champ on my RIDGID WD12450 vac from back in 2005 and with everything in tact due to light car cleaning usage along with my newer RIDGID WD1270 vac. Only issue is that it make a really high pitch noise when the vacuum is on and it hurt my ears. I would love to know a solution to fix this issue but other than that it is well built and durable.

Attachments are not universal with Rigid
I have a model WD-4070 and need a carpet attachment with rolling wheels but the one you sell is not compatible with my model. How can this be? Your accessories need to be universal.

Thanks for writing a review. We have the Carpet and Hard Floor Nozzle Accessory (VT2530). However, you will need to have an adapter to make it work with your WD4070 and that is included on the 3-piece adapter set (VT1755). You may get this through Home Depot stores or online. This is the hose that Ridgid should have included with the original purchase of the shop vac! The original black hose was, more and more, starting to kink when you pulled the vac around an obstruction or changed the angle of the attachment to the floor. The new hose is much more flexible than the original, and it's longer (10 ft.) and is smoother inside so it has better airflow. The adapters that come with the hose let you use it with the smaller vacs as well as the larger vacs with 2 1/2 inch hose. I'm currently using the new hose on a 4-gallon vac that gets used for general household cleanup and I plan to buy another to replace the black hose on the 12-gallon vac I use in the wood shop. This more than met my expectations. I'd recommend this to anyone who owns a Ridgid vac!

I purchased the "Pro-Grade" Ridgid Shop-vac hose and have had trouble every time I try to use the hose. It appears that the plastic piece that screws onto the front of the hose has a 1/8” to ¼” flat lip that while using the shop-vac to suck up even small sawdust causes the hose to plug up. This will happen with just about any material that is sucked into the hose. On the original hose that came with the shop-vac I can suck up just about anything even 3 ½” nails, broken wood pieces, rarely clogging from large debris. The new hose last about 30 seconds before it clogs up and requires cleaning time after time after time, EVEN LINT! using the Ridgid 16Gal 5.0hp Shop-Vac.
I have contacted Ridgid Tech Support and completed all the normal repair steps and even attempted returning the hose to Home Depot (NO RETURN OVER 30 DAYS). This product is NOT recommended.

dusting brush bad; other tools great
i have the standard 2 1/2" hose wand utility wet car nozzles crevice tool floor & round brushes & have to say everything except the dusting brush is great. the dusting brush bristles are too stiff for delicate surfaces; & the brush body is hard plastic
