RIDGID Dual Purpose Diamond Blades are manufactured with the contractor in mind. These blades are engineered to provide superior cutting speed on a wider variety of materials. The laser welded segments cut aggressively with outstanding performance on both hard and abrasive masonry, concrete, asphalt, hard brick, pavers, and stone. The abrasive resistant undercut segments protect the core against damage from the harshest of materials. Use this blade on 12 in. masonry saws and high-speed power saws, and low-horse power walk-behind saws with 1 in. arbor, 20 mm adapter included.

The 12in Dual-Purpose Diamond Blade is engineered to cut concrete and asphalt. We do not suggest using it to cut aluminum (it will melt). Sidewalk slot - I used this blade to cut a 3" wide slot through a 5' sidewalk in order to have the drain pipe reach the other side. I removed the slab of concrete in one piece. I then cut the slab for the cap, placed it on top of a concrete bed then ealed the sides. See the picture.
