Q:How is this blade better than the cheaper $79 Ridgid blade? Both cut concrete, but this one says it also cuts asphalt. Asphalt is softer, so how is this one better? It also looks like the cheaper one has larger diamond cutting elements as well.

A: if you are cutting a two inch overlay with water you should get more . provided you aren't pushing the saw. if you are cutting standard 2 in thick pavement , you are cutting too deep, base and dirt love to eat blades

A: Not sure exactly but I just got mine and cut about 50FT. of 2"-3" asphalt dry and it certainly kept moving thru with no issues. The fact that you will do it wet will probably be even better for you. For the money you can't go wrong and if you don't like it for some reason, I think Home Depot would be more than willing to exchange the blade or give your money back. Good luck.

Good saw blade. Decent quality.
Good concrete saw blade. Does the job. I like how it has two spindle sizes to choose from. Just knock out the ring if you need the bigger size.
