Yes sir it can cut through 4x4 post very easily.....
I hate to say it, but I think you should exchange your saw. I've had mine for over a year, changed the blade many times and have never had an issue with the blade coming loose.
Hello, Yes it will cut a 5-1/4" baseboard. The max baseboard against fence it will cut is 6-1/2" x 3/4"
Yes, on the very first cut. GO VERY VERY SLOW. Read the owner manual to be familiar. It's part of the Zero Clearance Throat Plate - Gives material maximum cut-through support of the board when you make very tiny/thin cuts.
Whatever your cutting, hold it place with your hand. It's a quick cut. Use the laser as the guideline.
There is evidence that a 10 inch blade will work on a 12 inch saw. However, a 12 inch motor typically turns slower than a 10 inch motor. You would need a blade with higher tooth count to get the same smoothness as that blade on a 10 inch saw. Also, the smaller blade may not make a complete cut unless you space out the fence. The smaller diameter may not reach all the way back to the bottom of the stock against the fence.
Yes
I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you want to replace? The blade? The entire saw? Sounds like you need to call your local Home Depot and ask them for whatever you want replaced.
Yes, "compound" means that the saw can do both Bevel and Miter cuts. Bevel means the saw blade is not perpendicular to the table, Miter means the blade is not perpendicular to the fence. This saw and most other compound miter saws can do both Miter and Bevel in one cut. That is necessary when cutting crown molding in certain positions.
Hi Ryan, The widest this will cut @ 90 degrees is 8". The 9" board would be too wide. Thanks for your interest. Greg
