I've read elsewhere that someones spoke to a rep from Rigid on the phone who confirmed that the serial numbers that have the updated gears and arbor assembly is after serial number 1751. Prior to that, they all seemed to have the "Wobble".
Hi Bear, There should be no issues with the saw new out of the box. If you have any issues please call our customer service . 866-539-1710. Thanks for asking. Greg
Does not have a laser.
If something is wrong with the saw you purchased I recommend bringing it back for a replacement.
Unplug the saw...safety first. There is an Allen key with a Phillips head on one end. Its stored in the carrying handle. Lift up the guard by hand and there is a phillips head screw on left hand side of the of the blade shroud. Loosen that until the head surpasses the little rectangle nub. Pull up that little cover to access the hhex head bolt. On the right side of blade shroud is a button used to lock blade in position. Press it and rotate the blade until it locks. Put Allen key into the hex head bolt and turn clockwise to loosen. Make sure you use the spacer is center of blade when reassemble. Hope this helps.
HI MW, If you are having an issue with your saw please call our tech support and they will help with correcting any issues. 866-539-1710. Thanks for asking. Greg
I love everything about this saw except the blade wobble. I exchanged my first one because the wobble was so bad and the new one is much better. It still has a vibration, but cuts smooth.
Don't know what needed to be fixed. I have one use it a lot remodeling my house ,I like the saw works fine has cut everything I have cut with it from framing to trim. Two thumbs up.
Just crosscut a board at 90 degrees. The blade will have an irregular noise and the cut will be uneven.
My son has cut small metal pieces. He had to buy a metal cutting blade. Hope this helps
