A:  Hello, Enoch - Thank you for your question. The run time would depend on the battery you use. The higher the amp hour the longer the run time may be. I hope this helps! 175-watt Power Inverter
RIDGID 18V Cordless 175-Watt Power Inverter (Tool Only) This handy portable battery operated power inverter can be useful when you need to charge your phones, and other USB powered devices during times of blackouts, or when your not near an electrical outlet. Since this device is “tool only”, it does not come with a battery, but if you have or use 18 volt Ridgid tools, then you can use them in this inverter. I like the flashlight on this thing, the 2 USB A ports are useful as well as the USB C port that is slowly becoming more popular. The 120 volt outlet can work to charge smaller device, such as laptops, iPads and other devices that consume no more than 175 watts. Comes with a lifetime warranty.

GREAT FOR POWER OUTAGES AND LOCATIONS WITHOUT POWER; INCLUDES BOTH USB AND 120V AC OUTLETS; NO BATTERY
The RIDGID 18V Cordless 175-Watt Power Inverter can be an extremely useful tool during a power outage. I like that it has both USB A and C outlets and a 120V AC outlet. It is impressive that all four outlets can be used concurrently. I used the 120V AC outlet to power a lamp and concurrently used one of the USB-A outlets to charge my tablet. I much prefer reading under a lamp vs. a flashlight during a power outage and this power inverter can make that happen. The 120V AC outlet is still limited to what it can power but I assume that will increase over time. What I have not done is time how long the 120V AC power will last with a RIDGID 8Ah battery. The inverter also has an LED light. The power inverter is made in China.

Will run a notebook computer and phones at the same time
About the same size as a Ridgid 4ah battery, this Ridgid inverter successfully charged my notebook through the AC socket (65 Watts) and my cell phone through the USB C connector (45 Watts) at the same time. If the power goes out, this inverter will be very useful. From the instructions and power rating, it seems that this unit was only designed for small electronics such as phones, tablets, small radios, notebook computers, etc. It can charge multiple devices at the same time. The power output maximums are: AC socket at 175 Watts, USB A at 12W, and USB C at 45W. The instructions also imply that the maximum amperage for all of the outputs is 3 amps. It does have overload and overheating protection. It also has a fairly bright flashlight. Good to know: (From the instructions and labels) 1. Indoor use only. 2. A warning on the label says that the output is not a true sinewave and lists substantial distortion levels which raises concern for using it with sensitive electronics. The instructions specifically say it should not be used for life support or other necessary medical devices. Conclusion: This provides a useful way to power small electronics when AC is not available.

compact and perfect for hurricane Ian survival
the unit was perfect to keep my laptop and cellphone charged . we just happen to receive this at the right time. the RIDGID 18V Cordless 175-Watt Power Inverter .was just amazing at how it fast charged my cell phone .we also were able to keep my I7 laptop powered at the same time using one of my Ridgid 4 amp battery's we only lost power fir a short time but it did a great job . the built in led light is just bright enough to help me and the wife see around the house. the dual usb -a & 1 usb c ports are really handy for cell phones and the 120 v outlet worked great for charging up my laptop . nice to know there a lifetime warranty .we were amazed how long a 4 am battery lasted with this inverter .

Neat addition to the tool box
This 18V Cordless 175-Wall Power Inverter from RIDGID is a neat little accessory to add to your tool box. It works perfectly with the RIDGID 18V battery packs. You slide on the battery just like you would any other tool from this RIDGID line. This inverter easily charges and powers your USB tools (and there's a USB-C connection), and the standard plug adapter is great. If you have an extra battery around while you're working just plug your accessories into this little guy to keep everything running. There are overload and overheat indicators on the top as well as a flash light. It's pretty handy.

          Power anywhere
This little thing can be used anywhere to power tools or even lights it will also charge your phone. It won’t last as long as some but for a quick fix where there isn’t power or if my electricity drops as it does a bit around here. It will be a go to item in my house. I have a couple of tools I’ve had to run a electric cord to for a quick fix. Now I can just take this.

          A must have!
I chose the Ridgid 18V Cordless 175-Watt Power Inverter due to frequent power outages in my area. It's reassuring to know that I can charge my tablet and other small devices quickly and easily. The inverter is lightweight, compact and easy to transport. We have an old vehicle for camping trips without charging ports in the back. I'm glad I won't have to share my front port with those in the back seat any longer. The Ridgid power inverter has 175 watts of power and runs on any Ridgid 18v battery. You have 2 USB-A ports, 1 USB-C ports and 1 120V AC outlet. This inverter is convenient, works great but and most important of all, it's a Ridgid so I know I can depend on it. I highly recommend.

          Thanks Ridgid
On the contrary to what Mike says below, I highly doubt he actually purchased this device. It's meant to be "battery operated" and why complain that it doesn't have a built-in battery? What happens when that built in battery is dead? I for one am happy that it does not have a bulit in battery and can change out battery on a whim and not wait hours for the pack to charge up again. Sure it would have been nice to have had way more power, but Ridgid had to start somewhere, I'm sure that's to come!

            versatile product
Need your phone charged? Got it. Laptop? Sure. The lil kid needs their switch charged on a long road trip so they keep quiet and you dont go insane about how bored they are? Done. If you are already invested into this tool line its s no brainer to get. I bought two instantly incase a storm rolls off the gulf coast and we lose power for a couple of days. (Wont say the H word). If you haven’t invested into the Ridgid tool line its still not too bad but there are cheaper options. Getting this product ($89) plus a good size battery (4amp battery on sale right now for $99) and a charger ($100) youre looking at around $300. That can be steep. But if you did decide to do it as long ss you take advantage of the Ridgid LSA its a great deal! Some people posting sub par reviews don’t understand that. Been with Team Ridgid since 2012 and use them everyday for plumbing new construction and remodeling. Thanks Ridgid and will you please release the 8 amp max output battery? I need 2!

I’m getting one as soon as it’s available. I always thought that Ridgid was late to the game but as long as they keep coming out with new products I’ll be happy!
