            Q:Is there any difference in water holding capacity between the 16 gallon 6.5 hp motor on bottom design vs the regular 16 gallon 6.5 hp motor on top design? I suck up water frequently so I need to buy the model that holds more water.

            A:  Hello VancouverStew, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. If you will fill up the drum with liquid manually it can with hold 16 gallon of water for both of the vacuum. However, if you are vacuuming up liquid, it will reach a pre determined level and when reached a certain level it will stop the suction. It will be indicated with a different sound that will be coming from the vacuum and the vacuum should be shut off and empty the drum of the vacuum. That pre determined level depends on how close the float on the bottom of the drum, and since the motor on the bottom have the float on the bottom of the drum it will rise sooner than the one the have the motor on the top.               a good improvement over the old nozzle design
              Needed to replace the cracked wet nozzle on our old Ridgid shop vac and noticed that they have improved the design and durability of the replacement nozzle. The nozzle slip fits to the hose and extensions of our older shop vac and dose the job.

              It's nice that it can be used on multiple vacuums. I thought that it wouldn't be able to suck water form tiled surfaces due to the depth but surprisingly it's very soft and works well! I wouldn't use it on very rough surfaces, but if it gets the job done, then it's a great value nonetheless. I thought it would suck up most of the water and leave the surface damp but nope; it leaves a nice dry surface. The locking barbs are nice, though you don't usually have the tips coming off of a shop vac; only if it's dirty perhaps. I HIGHLY suggest you clean the filter and trash out before you put water in your vacuum or it will make a big, sloppy mess (not that I've done so, just a tip).

              i had the basement flood a few times because the sump stops working .. the wet shop vac does the best job for sucking up all that woter .. you can not find a better tool .. if you can fit a bigger nozzle which this is the largest to buy ,this will suck up more to make you job faster

              This attachment, unlike some RIGID wet and dry vacuum attachments I have, stays in place under rigorous use. I recently had a basement flood and my neighbor helped with his vacuum and I noticed that his wide squeegee attachment stayed in place but was very hard to remove. This attachment goes on with a soft push but stays there without pushing extra hard. When you want to switch attachments simply twist left or right to unlock and it doesn't take much force to release it. Definitely a simple idea that works quite well. I am not sure what the ridges on the top have to do with the locking feature but I wish all of my attachments had this feature. You can see in the picture that I had to use duct tape a couple of times to keep another attachment in place under rigorous use. Bravo, RIGID for a great yet simple idea.

              Not perfect out of the box. Great with some break-in.
              Gasket seemed a bit stiff for a while while working on ½" of water in my basement. After a while I got a better seal and got the floor bone dry.
