I just bought the planer no.5048 and would like to know the number of the blades to be replaced it is 13 inches blades.
For model #4850 the blades for this are from POWERTEC # 12827 . I have same model and these fit and work

Any size is able to but you shouldn’t run boards shorter than 5-6 inches as you will have to push them through with a thin push stick
