Part #30118 is the 12R so part #37395 the 3/4" 12R die head should work in the ratchet. Part #36890 is for 00R 1/2" and will not work. The 12R 1/2" number is 37390. If you have further questions and would like to speak with someone in Tech Services please call 888-743-4333.
Yes, absolutely. Use cutting/threading oil. And watch a YouTube video on how it should be done.
This ratchet accepts (holds) both 00-R and 00-RB die heads. The 00-R dies are for threading black pipe, galvanized pipe, and IMC & RMC conduit (but not EMT conduit -that just uses fittings). So, in order to thread pipe, you buy the 00-R threading die for the size pipe you're threading and install it in this ratchet. Be sure to use lots of cutting/threading oil -or you'll break the cutter-teeth in the die! (catch the oil and keep reusing it -it lasts a looong time.) You cut forward a bit, then backward, then forward, then backward, etc... -slowly threading until you've got about 7/8" of threaded end. If you want to thread steel rod, then buy the 00-RB dies for the size rod you are threading. Again, use cutting/threading oil! The 00-R dies create a tapered end, the NPT (the National Pipe Taper). The 00-RB dies create a straight thread, with no taper...it's just a threaded bolt is what you're making (or fixing!).
The ratchet head will move about 1 inch per ratcheting "catch". So, the end of the handle will be moving approximately 11 or 12 inches with each stroke.
The app lags changes in inventory. Just order it for store pickup.
It will hold a 1/2" die, yes. (I'm pretty sure you meant 1/2")
If you are referring to cast iron pipe I have not seen it in this size in the 70 years that I have been threading pipe. If you mean steel pipe you possibly mean 1- 1/4. OOR does not come in that size. You need a 12R Head and an 1-1/4 12R Die.
NO. The threading dies are sold separate. This ratchet will accept the 1/2", 3/4", and 1" pipe threading dies. For threading steel rod/bolts, it can thread 1/4" through 1". Ridgid offers 10 different size die heads in that 1/4" - 1" range. 00-R dies are for pipe. 00-RB dies are for threading steal rod/bolts.
