1/4" is the depth of the v-notch? 3/16" is the width of the V-notch? 1/2" is the width of the flat area between notches? So center to center measurement is 1/2" + 3/16" = 11/16"?

            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

From multiple sites searching the internet, first number is width, second number is depth. If a third number provided, it's the spacing in between.

Is this trowel for Taylor adhesive using 1/2 in engineered flooring? They show 3/16 1/4 5/16 flat.
                ByFeb 15, 2019
                2 Answers |
                Answer This Question

Thank you for your inquiry. Taylor may have a specific trowel size recommendation for their adhesive to ensure proper coverage. If so, use the recommended trowel size. 3/16x1/4x5/16 is different than a 3/16x1/4x1/2 trowel. To answer your questions, No this is not the same trowel size. Thank you for considering QEP for your project needs.

I used it for floor adhesive under engineered flooring. The product I used specified a different size notch much like yours. It worked really well in my application. Big suggestion, the adhesive is very messy and sticky. Cover the trowel and handle with duct tape on both sides leaving just the notches exposed. Made clean up really easy

I ordered one online and was told it would be delivered same day. Except for the fact that the item is discontinued and there was no local stores that actually had it. I got a call back a little later saying they found one and it’s on the way. Except it wasn’t even the right size notch. Help doers do more or get out of our way.
