About This Product

ROBERTS 3-1/2 in. W and 10 in. L Double Tap Reversible Tapping Block is designed to push flooring planks together without damaging the joining grooves of the flooring or your fingers. Double-sided, with edges designed for tongue and groove and click-lock floors, this D-handle tapping block works with most types of flooring including resilient vinyl tile, laminate and hardwood planks. The 3- 1/2 in. W provides plenty of space to tap with a soft head mallet or rubber only, not with a metal hammer, to protect your click-lock edge or tongue and groove flooring from damage during installation, and contributing to professional results.

Highlights

  • Gently pushes the edges of resilient vinyl tile, laminate or hardwood flooring planks (including click-lock and tongue and groove) together creating a tight seam
  • Reinforced nylon construction for strength and durability
  • Double-sided, with edges designed for use with most types of flooring including resilient vinyl tile, laminate, and hardwood planks
  • Larger striking plates improve efficiency and the large polypropylene D-handle is raised for added clearance and closed for improved grip
  • Twist-lock knob secures the handle in place for both click-lock and tongue and groove flooring

Should be the only tapping block, far superior to the block without the handle, say goodbye to blood blisters and bruised fingers

Response from The ManufacturerMay 8, 2024
Thank you for your feedback. This product is double sided with notches designed for tongue and groove, as well as click lock laminate, engineered wood, or vinyl tile planks. This Double Tap Reversible Tapping Block has a D-handle that can be removed and reattached to either side of the block depending on the flooring type being installed.

Works great glad I spent the extra cash for the one with the handle

Worked like it should

Previously used the standard block type without the handle. This is so much easier to use and eliminates the fingers getting in the way! Make sure you use plenty of downward pressure to minimize marks on the edges of the piece you are working on! So far I have installed over 700sf and still has crisp edges

I recently purchased this to replace a tapping block that I have without a handle. The handle does make it more convenient to use on laminate flooring. However on LVP flooring I don't recommend this. I prefer to use a 2x4 for lvp flooring as it's softer and wider.
