I needed a simple tool to cut LVP (Luxury vinyl Planks) 6 mm thick. High Density Plastic Composite rigid core technology.This was perfect for the 1,100 sqft. renovation job
The tool "slice" away the material for the width of the blade with a sustainable effort.
The cut edge was quite clean orienting the LVP face up . My best results for a straight line was exercising some pressure with my foot on the planks while cutting.
It comes with a support to keep the plank flat during the trim operation
Compared to a power tool like a circular saw , this method is beneficial because it does not generate dust, very little debris and it is much quieter

I only recommend this tool because it makes cutting laminate easy for someone with no power tool experience, the cut should be much cleaner looking cut, instead of forced chopped.

Did not give a smooth cut. It sliced thru the laminate flooring but we ended up with jagged edges. Picture has 2 pieces; Bottom piece is cut from the Roberts Laminate cutter, Top piece is cut with a Ryobi miter saw. After using the Roberts Laminate Cutter we realized that this was making the install impossible and wasteful so we borrowed the Ryobi miter saw.

time saver!!!
We loved this product! Im not sure why others have put 1 star? This product cut our laminate floors easliy and efficently with very little mess to clean. We had a DIY basement floor project that was approx 400sq ft it only took 1 day to get the job done thanks to this cutter. If what you want cut has an underlay of some sort it might impact the cutting ability. This product works fantastic on wood

terrible
The good reviews must have been paid off cause this product does not work. It crushes instead of cut with its dull 3/4" width "blade". It took all my strength and weight to make that dent on a good, now ruined, plank.
