I use Roberts Indoor/Outdoor Double-Sided carpet tape for SECONDARY PEST CONTROL. I live in the Sonoran Desert of the Southwest, and every home in this area has to deal with VENOMOUS bark scorpions and centipedes. The sting from the scorpion or the bite from the centipede can present a medical problem for the elderly, young children or individuals in poor health. Yes, I have a monthly pest control service that treats the home's exterior. However, I don't allow poisons and toxins to be sprayed inside the home for health reasons. That's where Roberts Double-Sided Carpet Tape comes into play. I save cardboard boxes from various online shipments. I cut the boxes into strips 4-inches wide and the length (width) of each exterior door threshold (see photo). The Roberts double-sided tape is applied to the top of each cardboard strip (no tape on the bottom of the strips). If ANYTHING crawls under the door and on to the tape -- the critter is NOT going to get beyond the extremely sticky carpet tape. You may ask: What could possibly crawl under or around an exterior door that has good weather/pest stripping at the bottom and on the sides? Well, bark scorpions can compress their bodies and squeeze through an opening less than the thickness of a credit card. If you can wedge a credit card past or under the door's weather/pest stripping -- a scorpion can come in at-will. By the way, for the past five years, I used various brands of double-sided tape. The ROBERTS "INDOOR/OUTDOOR" double-sided tape works 100% of the time at stopping scorpions and centipedes DEAD in their tracks. Depending on the time of the year and weather, each cardboard strip lasts about two to three months. Believe me: if you live in the desert with venomous little critters constantly wanting to seek shelter inside your home, using cardboard and double-sided carpet tape is much safer for YOU and the environment than having liquid pesticides sprayed throughout the interior of your home every 30 days. The included picture is just to show how the cardboard strip is positioned at each threshold. Please note: The double-sticking carpet tape featured in this is picture is NOT Roberts. My local Home Depot was out of stock on the Roberts tape, so I purchased an alternate double-sided product, and it definitely does not have the holding power of the Roberts tape. In fact, it trapped centipedes, but the tenacious scorpions managed to work their way over the off-brand tape in the picture. (I'm staying with what works time and time again -- Roberts.) One last thing: If you have cats or dogs inside your home -- this method of double-side tape will NOT work because dogs and cats will get stuck on the boards. I'm telling you . . . this STUFF IS SUPER STICKY!!!

Worked really easy. We used it only between rolls of rubber flooring and not by the walls and it still worked good.

Doesn’t stick well to all types of carpets. Tried sticking carpets to garage floor does not work well!
