Will this product work under carpet tiles on a sealed OSB wood floor?
It will work for light-duty or perimeter hold on sealed OSB, but it is not the ideal or long-term solution for installing carpet tiles. This tape is designed for light-duty hold (edges, corners, small areas) It is not a full-spread installation method for carpet tiles On OSB (even sealed), you may get: Inconsistent adhesion due to surface texture Release over time, especially in traffic areas Possible residue or damage when removed
Can this tape be used to mount rubber backed marine carpet to the walls of an aluminum horse trailer? In concerned about heat effecting the tape
This tape is not recommended for that application. It is designed for temporary carpet installation on floors, not for mounting material vertically or to metal surfaces like aluminum. In a horse trailer, heat buildup can significantly reduce the adhesive strength, especially on vertical surfaces and with heavier materials like rubber-backed carpet.
Does this work on metal for a spiral metal stair case?
For a spiral metal staircase, I wouldn’t recommend using Model # 50-605-12 as the primary way to hold carpet in place. Metal stairs see vibration, temperature swings, and moisture. These are conditions that can cause double-sided carpet tape to release over time. A construction-grade adhesive rated for metal + carpet is recommended.

I just purchased a roll of Roberts Heat-lok tape 245. I need instructions to install it.
To use heat bond tape for carpet installation, prepare the seam by laying the carpet edges with seaming tape underneath. Use a seaming iron, set to an appropriate temperature, to melt the adhesive on the tape while it's positioned under the seam. Slowly move the iron along the seam, then immediately push the two carpet edges together, backing to backing, making sure no fibers are caught.
