Great insulation
I love working with Rockwool Safe and Sound insulation and have recently installed it in the floor that creates the ceiling of my basement. It's very easy to cut (using a sharp knife and/or scissors) and install, and, it is far less irratating than working with fibreglass wool. It offers superior fire resistance and the sound damping within the structure is excellent.
This is very important if you want to isolate sound between rooms within your home (like when your kids like to listen to loud music in the basement LOL!).
In one of my prior homes, I ripped out all the basement finish and fibreglass insulation on the exterior walls and replaced it with Rockwool insulation between the wood studs. The basement was more comfortable in both winter and summer after that.

Safe and sound between new bedroom and great room
We used the Rockwool Safe and Sound product to give us privacy from the sound of the tv/music from our new two storey great room. Although hidden behind the walls, it was well spent money in our new addition, for our future when our kids get older and continue the party while we sleep. Thanks Rockwool!

Easy to cut and fit
This is an excellent insulation product. I was insulating my garage and the end walls where the rafters are located is angled. I was looking for a product that was rigid enough to stay in place by press fitting it in between the 2 X 4's. I decided to try the Comfortboard 80 and it worked very well, I found it very easy to cut and fit into tight spaces.

Versatile material
I have a century home that’s double brick. Horizontal wood strips were embedded into the brick, with vertical slats attached for holding the lathe and plaster. I gutted all aspects of the old vertical slats, sealed any cracks/holes in the masonry, and added new 2X3s as vertical slats... 16” apart. I then had to determine what to stuff in between. At first I contemplated ridged foam, but I hate cutting it.Then I thought about slicing safensound bats like slicing a loaf of bread, but that seemed impractical. Finally, I found this product for basement walls, and decided to give it a try. Comffortboard 80 Cuts easy. Tight fitting. Conserves space. Will last a lifetime.

Easy to work with
I chose safe and sound to insulate our son’s room that we were building. He gets loud when he games online with his friends and we needed sound proofing that was inexpensive and easy to install. I love the product. Very easy to work with which was great because I’m a novice at home renovation.

Great Purchase and Easy Install!
Wow!
I purchased 30 bags of the ROCKWOOL Safe 'n' Sound and was able to install it all by myself.
I calculated that many bags on Rockwool's bag calculator on their website! Very accurate..
This product was very easy to install. Cutting around outlets, wires, and pipes was like cutting bread.
Before the drywall went up, I could already tell a difference.
I put the Safe 'n' Sound around all my laundry room, bathrooms, bedrooms, and in the basement ceiling.
Not only does it provide sound proofing, it has other benefits as well. Such as fire resistant and no mildew can grow on it.
I am so glad my builder let me install this product on my own.
Would I recommend this product? Yes, 100%.

Exactly the product we wanted and needed!
We are renovating a 110-year-old stone carriage house. Rockwool has been our salvation for many reasons: exceptional thermal efficiency, super sound blocking, and mice hate it! Easy to install. We wrapped our new enameled steel tub with Rockwool for added insulation; my love of hot baths appreciates the extra 30 minutes I can spend reading in my tub before bed! And best of all, it has a low carbon footprint. Everything to gain when we opted for Rockwool instead of the irritating pink fluff.

This product saved our house!
We installed this in our basement ceiling 3 years ago. Our gas fireplace in the basement cought fire this weekend and the smoke and flames destroyed alot of it. The fire was so hot it had melted light fixtures and the fan off of the ceiling! We had double lined the ceiling with roxul when finishing the basement as our master bedroom is right over the gas fireplace and down stairs living room and we wanted maximum protection! Well unfortunately it was put to the test but it did exactly as it should! We had zero, that's right ZERO damage to the upstairs of our house above the fire! I can't say enough good things about this product! It saved our house and all who were in it! Thank you and I will never use any other insulation product in my home!
