I like ryobi tools and thought I would like these diamond tip bits. After using one bit to remove just a dozen screws, the bit was ruined! I have attached a photo. Afer sending the picture to ryobi, they said to take it back for refund if it was still with in ninety days of purchase. It wasnt. Dont wase your money!

I liked the idea of the diamond grit drive bits. I am convinced that this should be my go to bits. The set is compact but has most of the bits that I would need in most instances. And the kicker is that the diamond grit really helps keep the bit moving without spinning out. This set is compact enough that it would fit just about anywhere you could imagine, which is a real boon for me.

The Ryobi diamond coated philips bits do grab into the screw head better with less slipping, which also makes it easier to drive the screws. This also makes the bit last longer with less wear. I do wish the straight bits were also diamond coated to help those slip less, but overall this set is great. A wide selection of most common sizes and a great case. The case has a belt hook that works and enables you to hook the case on to shorts or a tool belt and have easy one hand access. Just flip the lid opens, tilt the bit tray out and swap bits. Even with the diamond coating, this set is still impact rated. I love this set.

Love this 22 piece 1” impact rated drive bit set made by Ryobi. The diamond grit coating on the Phillips bits really helps the bits securely hold the screws. I found I don’t have to push on the drill like my life depends on it to keep from stripping the screws. This kit also includes some of the other most common types of bits you need like square, torque/star, flat head and Allen head. Also includes an impact rated bit holder. All the bits are clearly labeled. Keep in mind the included torque bits are not the security type with the hole in the middle. I love the included case that doesn’t take up much space in the tool box but securely holds all the bits.

The name of the product implies that the bits are coated with a diamond abrasive. Ryobi advertises that the coating gives the bits 20 times longer life, 2x stronger grip, and that it reduces stripped screws. For Phillips head fasteners, screw drivers and bits tend to “cam out.” With enough torque, the Phillips design causes the bit to rise up and slip. This can lead to stripped fasteners and sometimes a failure to completely drive the fastener down. These bit do grip screws more than regular bits and seem, at least in simple testing, to reduce the tendency for a Phillips bit to cam out of the screw. This should also help prevent the strait bit from working itself sideways when driving a screw. The coating, when new, will hold a small Phillips screw upside down without the screw fall off the bit (see photo). I assume that with time, as the abrasive on the bits wears down, that such grip will be reduced. The box the bits come in includes a belt clip (see photo) and has a rotating bit holder (see photo). The bit holder though fits tightly in its hinge and, at least when new, does not rotate easily. Perhaps a bit of silicon lube will help fix that. This set is the very best you can buy. Comes in a storeage kit to keep them organizes. Has a belt clip to carry it with you without losing it. Tight lid with a safety snap. It has an impact bit holder that can be used in a drill, or with a socket set. Diamond grit gives good grip without stripping screw heads out. 21 different bits to choose from for the right job.

Ryobi’s assortment of drive bits were a very precisioned fit in all the screws I tried. Only the six Phillips bits have the “Diamond Grit” applied to them. This material grabbed the screw very well, which should result in much fewer stripped out heads. As you can see in the photo of the retail card attached to this holder, there are straight, Phillips, star (think Torx), hex (think Allen) and square (think Robertson) bits. The bits fit well in the case, and don’t all spill out when opened. The rapid-change bit holder has a very strong magnet in it, so bits don’t drop out during use. I’m not sure why a belt clip was put on the storage case for these bits, but it could be a convenient way for some tradesperson to carry this assortment around, if desired.

I got this assortment of bits for several reasons. First, I needed to add square bit drivers to my collection and you can never have too many #2 Phillips bits. This assortment also includes two standard screwdriver bits and three Torx bits. It also comes in a rugged case with a belt clip on the back to keep them handy. The diamond grit coating is supposed to increase the grip of the bit which should help increase the life of the bits.

The 22-piece RYOBI 1-inch Diamond Bit Set is a top quality drive bit set. However, with that said, I am confused about one small detail regarding this drive bit set; the set is called a 22-piece Diamond Bit Set, but I believe only the six Phillips bits are diamond grit. But be that as it may, you won’t be disappointed with the usual RYOBI high quality. And as an added bonus, the handy belt loop is convenient also.

This Ryobi 22-piece set is great all your bits come in a clear lid storage case so you do not have to dig around to find the one you need bits are clearly marked plus the case has a belt clip to keep it close or clip on your tool box or tray very handy to have in my service truck. Diamond grip to hold tight and last longer than standard bits. Up to 20 percent longer great for removing or installing screws on the hard jobs or the soft head screws less stripping.. Impact rated magnetic bit driver included it holds the bits securely no more dropped ones just as you get to that screw. This is a perfect fit for my Ryobi ¼’’ impact driver.
