Not an LED Cutline indicator
Fired up the saw and flipped on what was advertised as an “LED Cutline indicator”… it’s just a general work light… no LED line indicator of any kind. Come on Ryobi this is nonsense.

Hello, Connors - We are sorry to learn that the LED cutline indicator hasn't met your expectations! The LED lighting system casts the shadow of the blade onto the workpiece. After turning the light on, bring the saw arm down so the blade is approximately 1/4" from your workpiece. The shadow of the blade will be projected onto the workpiece, indicating where the blade teeth will make contact as the cut is made. We hope this helps! Good Value
Per HD ad the saw is a lightweight, but perfect for molding-trim project around the house. It will cut a 2x10 however, use caution and plenty of support for heavy pieces of wood. Highly recommend a support stand, or simply make one out of 2x2s, 2x4s. See Tailgate Photo - light enough that I can lift/store it on wall hooks. I looked at other stores low cost miter saw at and I really thought the Ryobi had the best feel/features. One Con is the blade/bolt/cap, it tends to stick.

LED CUTLINE INDICATOR?
I must have received “2 lights” instead of “2- LED CUTLINE INDICATORS” as advertised. This is just general open led lighting. does not indicate any “cutline”. Come on Ryobi, love the products typically, but got to do better than clear false advertisement. Prove me wrong!

Great Value
Great value and makes accurate cuts. Have used multiple times, most recently to create an accent wall in bedroom. LED cutline indicator is nice to help get precise cuts.

Poor Quality Control
Out of the box the throat plate is misaligned such that cannot use the saw. Didn’t even unwrap the power cord. The entire saw is skewed in relationship to the base.
Box was in good shape and the saw looked factory prestine so damaged is ruled out.
Concerned about longevity based on initial quality. Returned and purchased a different brand.

Very nice setup
Very nice setup. However there is one small thing, the LED light for cut line is not working right. Having said that, I really like the saw. My brother has one just like it. I am a big fan of Home Depot.
