It is. There is a crank to raise and lower the blade.

Can you use it without the included folding legs attached to a workbench?

The instructions say NOT to use it without the stand. Unless it is mounted I would go with what Ryobi instructs people to do.

Yes. That is what we bought it for. Just make sure you purchase the correct blade for Laminate. The one that comes with the saw does not have enough teeth.

Could have had a second groove for the guide but it works fine for me. The folding stand is kinda flimsy but I had a larger folding stand from a previous saw, so I adapted it. The tool storage was a big plus. Overall, a good buy so far. If it last as long as my last one I will be really pleased.

You get what you pay for
This really is a perfect example of “you get what you pay for”. I owned this saw for 4 weeks and only used it to make a cutting board and a small jewelry box. When I first started using it, none of my cuts were actually straight. I realized it was because the black plastic piece at the top of the rip fence stuck out slightly and was not flush with the face of the fence. I had to cut a piece of wood and screw it to the face and over the plastic piece in order to have a flat surface. As other have said the miter gauge has a loose fit in the miter slot, so none of your cuts will be perfect while using it. The miter slots are different than most table saws, and you will need to file them down if you plan on making any sort of sled or jig to fit in them. Last night when using this it started making an awful noise. After taking the motor off, I saw that the gear that connects to the blade assembly was completely worn and unusable. Luckily I still had my receipt and I returned it to Home Depot. I will not be buying another ryobi table saw.

great low end table saw
For the average dyi’er this table saw is fantasic. Easy set up, foldable for storage and easy to use. Strong motor, clean cuts. I bought for installing laminate flooring and it worked great. The flooring dulled the blade that came with it pretty quick but we bought a 65 tooth blade i believe and that worked amazing. My biggest complaint is the guide. Hard to move it in small increments especially if the table is dirty. Wish it had a roller guide instead.

This table saw is a replacement for my over 10 years old Ryobi. I have found some good improvements on this new one. The rip fence is much more stable than the older one, allowing you to get a great straight cut. There is a riving knife and a dust chute which were not available on the old one. The motor stops much quicker because there is an electric brake which make this saw a bit safer. The Blade Guard, Rip Fence, Miter Gauge and Push Stick all have a storage place on the unit. The manual said that you can use a Dado set with this saw which I couldn't on my old unit. The leg stand was simple to put together, but I liked the stability of the metal stand my older Ryobi came with. Because I have a smallish workshop, I will probably make a custom wooden stand with locking wheels so I can move it where I need it. I do miss having two Miter Gauge slots. There is only one on the right side of the table. I will be making a cross cut sled to fit the slot because the supplied Miter Gauge is a little sloppy in the slot. The blade that is supplied with the saw is for rough cuts (24 blades). I suggest replacing this blade with a general purpose one such as a 40 blade. All in all, I like this table saw. I typically do frames for paintings, small wooden boxes for storing things and outdoor items like birdhouses, plant holders and such. This table saw is for light to medium woodworking and is great for someone who is starting out in the craft. I would encourage the new user to thoroughly read the Operator's Manual

This a good table saw for the money. There is one flaw I could see right away in that the miter gauge has a sloppy fit in the groove, making it difficult to maintain an angle while cross-cutting. 90 degrees should be 90 degrees. 45 degrees should be 45 degrees. Aside from that, after making a few fine adjustments to the zero-degree stop and to the bevel indicator, I've used this table saw a fair amount for precise non-through cuts, cross cuts, and a lot of ripping and like it a lot. I have a number of Ryobi tools, and I'm happy with all of them.

Bought it for my husband for a fathers days gift. Very easy to set up. The holes were off a little bit while screwing the saw to the stand. We did noticed it looks lightly used. The sticker was slightly peeling and a couple bolts looked worn, not sure if that’s factory adjustments or not. Overall very nice, works great. We love RYOBI Products!
