Q:Can this be used to charge a 40v battery.
by|Jun 9, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Greg - The power source is designed to charge 18V batteries as they can be inserted directly into the power source. However, you can't insert 40V batteries the same way, so they can't be charged in that manner. But if you have a 40V charger with power requirements of 150 watts or less, you can plug the charger into the power source and charge your 40V battery that way. Stopped Working, Power Button Won't Stay On
Like others have reviewed, mine no longer will stay on when the power button is pressed. I used it one time to run a fan during a high school graduation party, went to use it today and it immediately shuts off. The only way it will stay on is if you physically hold the button down. Seems like a bad switch. This happens with any other Ryobi battery I use. Very disappointed with this product and a shame that it costs as much as it does to go bad like this.

              Avoid This Product
Like some other reviewers, my unit stopped working after a couple of uses. I now need to continuously press down on the power button, otherwise the unit will not stay on. I contacted Home Depot, who told me to contact Ryobi as the unit is still under warranty. So I called Ryobi who told me to register the product and file a Rapid Repair claim - however, after going through the hassle of creating an account, the registration site throws a 404 Error... Avoid the hassle, avoid this product.

Awesome USB-C 30W fast phone charging
Powers my usb-c laptop for hours, charges with the same cable. I also like the front USB 3.1 fast 18w charging ports, they can charge iPads no problem. It makes a buzzing noise when fully loaded (140w) but it does not really get hot, so runs efficiently.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own this unit. I wish it had the power to run a TV. For what it does I believe is overpriced.

                        A great combo inverter/charger
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a replacement to my older RYi150BG that I use while doing fieldwork out in remote areas. I MUCH prefer this newer RYi150CVNM mostly because of the included USB C connectivity option. This allows for higher power output, more charging options and more importantly, allows this unit to be used in reverse, to charge an 18v One+ battery. This is a huge benefit to me, since it means I can leave a 110 charger and an 12V One+ charger at home when working in the field. Since it comes with a nice USB (A and C) wall plug and USB C charging cable and the included 2.0AH battery, it's a completely self contained unit ready to go out of the box. I typically prefer to use 4-or greater AH batteries but the included 2AH battery is nice and low profile. The RYi15CVNM allows me to recharge older 110V only and newer USB equipment, as well as phones, tablets and laptops while out away from power. A great product and a great update to an older version. A no brainer if you're in the One+ family and need a portable option for general, everyday power.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to utilize with solar panel to Charge all my batteries. It works great so I bought 2. Can charge. 9 Amp in one day. I use Black Sock in temps under 30 and it works great keeping the battery warm.
