Great, Easy to Use unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my dad who likes wood working and carpentry projects. He was a carpenter for 30 years and loves this easy to use band saw. He likes to make what we call “yard art” in his retired years! And of course fix it issues around the house.

    Best value for the money
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've wanted a bandsaw for my shop for years. I have a table saw, jigsaw etc..., but there are some things that are just so much easier to do on a bandsaw. My only wish for this would be a fence or the option to purchase one from Ryobi. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs.

      Saws Almost All
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this band saw in February and have been so please with its performance that I find myself thinking of projects to use it on. I made an enclosure to collect the saw dust. I made a table dedicated to the Ryobi family of power tools and even expanded the table for another Ryobi to join the belt/disc sander and the newly purchased Ryobi drill press. What should the next power tool be? A planer or a roter with a small table. Check out the Ryobi table.

        Flawless
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase the bandsaw to make some custom corbels for a project at work. The unit worked flawless with no issues and project was a success. Will utilize for many other specialty projects in the future. I’ve already made my money back plus some for the purchase.

          an entry-level bandsaw.
the saw is light, compact, and can be used as a bandsaw.if you are looking for a job site saw or to get into high-end woodworking this will not be the saw for you. if you are a light hobby woodworker and have access to YouTube, then this is the saw for you.the pros. inexpensive when compared to other saws of this class. easy initial setup, the base is not solid but is sturdy when bolted to a solid surface, standard vacuum port. The cons. vibration, saw table warped, play in blade guides, plastic to metal table tilt mechanism, no t-track, no ability to mount a resaw fence without clamps unless you drill mounting holes in what should be slots but is decorative on this table. the one slot it does have is a u-channel that the miter square drops into. the miter square is really light, made of blow molded plastic rendering clamping sketchy the angle guage interference limits the angle additionally the Guage reading at 90 was actually 88.7. the channel it rides is open u meaning you have to hold the material to the table while holding the guide down and square to the blade as the play will tend to pull the guide out of square to the blade.first project suggestions. make a new table. the table mounts to a cast aluminum angle guide mount. nice. this means making a table with t-slots and through slots that can be used to mount fences. the angle adjust knob is made of plastic, making it light. as in lite-duty. I have doubts about its durability over the next few years. The vibration in the saw seams to come from the bearings in the blade wheels. I have yet to do a tear down on the saw and probably won't for a few years unless the vibration worsens.initial setup was a breeze, from box to first cut was about 10 mins. tuning however is a different matter and by nature takes time. the blade guide has some slop in left to right tracking which will allow to wander. the table is warped across the diagonal from front right to back left very slight about 1.5 degrees over the length. entry-level saw inexpensive hobby saw. overall I think the saw is worth the purchase price. the cons regarding the table and the miter guide are the reasons I dropped the rating to a 3 star. that said, my first project with this saw will be to make a new table and miter guide

            Just what I need
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My specialty is cutting/charcuterie boards, so I don't require a full-sized band saw. I own many Ryobi tools and am very satisfied with the quality, so I didn't hesitate in buying this saw. Set-up was easy and once critical adjustments were made, I tried it out. The saw runs very smooth and quiet and cutting is a breeze. The unit seems solid and well-made and hopefully will last many years. I'll probably add the 1/8" blade for tight cuts but the 1/4" supplied blade handles most cuts well.

              Off the Fence
I bought this a month ago, and have already used it multiple times. I put it on a small roller cart , which makes it very easy to roll into place, use, blow off, and return to storage.

Never owned a bandsaw. Never used a bandsaw. Bought the 3 pack of blades sold in the store. This saw is not a 5hp Powermatic or Woodmizer sawmill, but it gets the job done. I've resawn 3" thick mesquite, curves in kiln dried pecan and air dried walnut. This saw does exactly what it is designed to do...cut. I found the setup and blade changes really easy. The vaccum doesn't eliminate every speck of dust but it gets most of it. There's plenty of online video instruction about bandsaw setup and use that has been very helpful. Right now I don't have room for a 300lb+, 14" cutting beast and so far this one has done everything I needed it to do. The base was a little wonky (for no obvious reason) but some hammer and wedge encouragement straightened it out so I could bolt it down flat.

              I like this saw
I do quite-a-bit of woodworking as a hobby and this saw is good value for its money. Yes things are a bit cheap on it but what do you want for $148.00. I've ripped and re-sawed 2X6 and 2X4 Pine, have milled 4 inch White birch logs with no problem. I've just completed a fence for resawing.
