    A:  I have the 20 inch mower and have replaced the blade. No problem. If you look at the blade one of the holes is shaped like a half-moon. So no, they are not replaceable with a "universal" blade. You must use Ryobi's.

                A:  It should. Take note of the 3 attachment holes in the middle of this blade. If it's the same pattern as the one you have currently then it should work

                  A:  Yes, I bought my mower last year. I bought a replacement blade AC04020 from HD, fits and works fine. It's actually 19" or 19.5" long, but it's for the 20" mower.

                    A:  Hi Slyk, The AC04145 is the older model number and is the same as the AC04020. They both will fit our current modes as well is the older RY40107 and Ry40170. Thanks for your interest. Greg

                            Brand new, I'm surprised, the blade was "almost" sharp. I would compare the blade, out of the package, to a butter-knife. I will sharpen it myself and give it a 'spin' and see how well it cuts. Value of the product is good, always a great idea to have 2 sets of blades for your mower, especially here in the south where the St. Aug will dull your blades very quickly.
