Tes. A fitting above the handle, just below the motor has ann eye-let designed for a shoulder strap. Not included.
This trimmer must be stored in a horizontal position when not in use. DO NOT HANG IT OR STORE IT VERTICALLY AS THE OIL WILL BACK UP INTO THE HEAD AND CAUSE SMOKING. I went through this a couple of years ago with Home Depot, even getting a new engine head. Unfortunately, the manager I talked to at Home Depot had no idea about how to store it. It was only when I talked to a representative from Ryobi that I was informed about the need to store it horizontally. It has operated perfectly since then. Hope this helps.
i bought this about a year ago and filled the oil with the supplied product. Still shows oil but the engine seized this past weekend. i pulled the spark plug to check to see if any oil and it was dry. any other ideas?
all leaded gas will does is add more lubrication and more octane so it will run better it shouldn't hurt a thing unless it has a catalytic converter on it.
Is has a bump feed head that is also easy load with pre cut strips of string. I am not very impressed with this easy load process yet.
The trimmer does come with a small container of engine oil but I recommend you set that aside and get a better oil. I used the cheap, thin oil that came with the trimmer for the first few uses. I couldn't run the trimmer more than 10 minutes before it was overheating and running rough. A friend recommended I changed to better oil. I changed the engine oil to Castrol Synthetic 20W50. Since then my trimmer runs smoother, quieter and never overheats. What brand (synthetic or conventional) you choose is unimportant as long as it's made for high stress engines such as snow mobiles or motorcycles.
this doesn't use precut line, its a spool so it would use how ever long of line that will fit in the spool.
has 1 engine oil in box for start up need to ck oil before each use to be safe until break in suggest every other weekend for saftey
bump feed
Correct. This is a 4 cycle engine, just like most lawnmowers or your vehicle. There is a separate oil plug, the box includes about a pint of oil that you need to put in the engine before use. Then you'll fill the fuel container with regular unleaded fuel before running.
