40V HP Brushless Whisper Series 155 MPH 600 CFM Cordless Battery Leaf Blower with 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Cordless blower about six months ago and I wouldn't go back to a gasoline powered blower. It took me a short while to adjust to it after using gasoline power my whole life but when it did, all bets were off. This blower is powerful, quiet, strong, lightweight, innovative and no more wrestling with carburetor engines. I've replaced just about all of my gas powered lawn equipment with Ryobi Cordless and can't ever see myself going back to gas. Keep those cordless and innovative products coming Ryobi!!!

Another great addition to Ryobi's 40-volt cordless tools. This is my third cordless 40-volt Ryobi tool. This blower definitely handles my yard workload. No gas and oil to mix, and no exhaust to contend with. The noise level is much less also. I love the use of inter -changeability of the 40-volt batteries. It gives me more longevity in the run time.

The Ryobi 40V Brushless Whisper Series Leaf Blower is one powerful tool. With the power boost this thing made light work of moving wet heavy leaves. I had to be careful around my drive as it could lift gravel and throw sit like it was marshmallows. What I really like was you can use the blower for many jobs around the yard. One time saving use is to blow leaves and debris from the emerging daffodils I've allowed to naturalize filling a 75 sq ft area in a far corner of the yard. I posted a pic at how well the Ryobi leaf blower did a great job moving wet leaves and exposing the soil surface...if that's all this blower does, it's a champion for me. My other blowers are either too strong with only one speed or too weak to lift out small twigs/branches and the wet leaves. I also found the blower well balanced, easy to maneuver and not as tiring to use. Living on the edge of a natural forest, leaves both in fall and spring are time consuming to clean up. Especially my evergreen shrubs. Those leaves manage to get way inside the shrub. A shrub rake works at the lower portion of the shrubs but removing those leaves in the interior is usually a job done by hand. But with the soft tip of the Ryobi Leaf blower and with the power boost button worked really well. I was able to get inside those shrubs, nudging and occasionally using the power boost and clear out all those leaves in my foundation shrubs with ease. I was able to tackle really very different clean up jobs with this one machine - the 40V lasted the entire afternoon. And, the best part is I didn't have to wear ear phones because this blower is remarkably quiet.

Living on a goat farm opens up a variety of uses for a cordless leaf blower. Of course blowing leaves is one of them. Dragging around a cord is not a great option since the location of outlets can be limiting. Ryobi 40ah battery pack allows for me to move around the obstacles around the farm. Bushes, trees, stacks of bricks, etc. without getting a cord tangled up. After opening the box I noticed the unit came with an extra soft rubber tip for the end cap. It attaches by pressing the rubber over knobs inside the end cap. The rubber tip has 3 holes and one 1/2 circular hole. I can see where the rubber tip might wear out over time. The unit came with a 40ah battery and charger, the battery has just enough charge to make you think you can get right to work….not. Go ahead and charge it. If you plug it in early in the day you can use it same day. The main tube attaches easy enough as does the tip attachment. There are three controls all within in thumb forefinger reach unless you have smaller hands or are left handed. The trigger is underneath and , what I initially thought was a safety button, is the turbo boost on top. Forward and on the left by the thumb is a flip down knob to lock the trigger in the ON position. Due to arthritis, I flipped the dial down with the left hand. The trigger mechanism is easy to depress and start up is a bit slow but once going it goes. The TURBO is great to get packed down debris loose, the turbo will drain the battery faster, so only meant for sporadic use. As is, the fully charged battery should give you about 20-25 minutes of run time. I would recommend a second battery for larger properties. The noise level is quieter than all gas power blowers and most electric units, though I would still recommend hearing protection as part of your safety attire(eyes,ears,gloves and long pants and don’t forget a face mask, like I did !) The battery can also be used with other Ryobi yard implement’s like the line fed weed trimmer. There are caveats to this unit, sheer size and weight. Even allowing it to hang at my side it was very heavy and difficult to swing around obstacles. The battery is what adds all the weight. But it is a large blower even without the battery. Many people may not have an issue with these but others will. Luckily Ryobi has a slew of options for leaf blowers. There is no option for a harness or for leaf bag. Overall, this will get the job done quickly and efficiently .

Amazingly powerful leaf blower. I turned this leaf blower on in the garage to test the battery charge, and it literally pushed me back a bit, as if I had turned on a jet engine. So I can confirm that the jet-fan in the product name is accurate. I used this leaf blower, with no attachment, to gently but powerfully remove deep and heavy fresh snow that was weighing down the branches of a Japanese maple to the ground. It got the job done perfectly, lifting the snow off and away, without damaging the branches. Note that there is a variable speed switch trigger in the handle that enables the user to boost the power as needed. This is an exceptionally useful feature. I look forward to continued use of this machine. It is much more powerful than any other battery operated leaf blower that I have ever owned, and it rivals the power of a corded leaf blower.

The RYOBI 40V HP Brushless Whisper (55Db) jet fan leaf blower works great. Much quieter than my old 18v blower with much more cfm and mph performance. The handle is perfectly placed balance wise and the variable speed trigger is very handy. There is also a cruse control knob that will adjust and hold that power setting for as long as you need with out holding the trigger down, very nice for long periods of use. There are also 2 power tips that you can trim to your needs offering moh speeds from 120 mph with more cam or you can have 145mph or 155 mhp and have a bit less cfm depending on your task. The tips just clip on the end of the blower so you can have each cut at a different setting that works best for your jobs. The battery charges quickly and lasts longer than I expected. I am super happy and highly recommended this if you are looking for a powerful leaf blower and don't want to mess with mixing gas.

I have had this blower a few weeks now. It is a 40 volt jet fan cordless blower. I am impressed with the power and how quiet it sounds. It will move dry as well as wet leaves. It also has a turbo button that boasts the power for super blowing. It really blasts leaves out of tight places. Another nice feature is a speed control knob on the side that locks so you don’t have to hold the trigger. I like this unit much better than my plug in model.

Bottom line first, if you are reading this review and you are shopping for a good quality, solidly built battery Leaf blower, this one beat my expectations. In my opinion this is a GREAT option and without hesitation, is my recommendation. I have an earlier model RYOBI the 2 things I really like about this one above that first one, most of all is; the turbo blower end (speed tip) this was my one complaint about the first one. This (optional) tip funnels the outflow and believe me it makes a difference. And second is the battery charger it is much smaller and having different chargers lying around smaller is better. This is a beast don’t hesitate picking this one.

I have been a builder and a remodeler for 52 years. Each day at the end of the work day, I like to clean up and put things away to leave a neat and clean worksite. Customers always appreciate that work ethic. Of course that calls for cleaning tools, sweeping up and disposing of things like sawdust and such. But often outside work might call for more. I used to use a compressor to blow dust away. But in recent years I’ve switched over so almost all of my tools are cordless tools, so I’m not often using a compressor. So some years ago I bought a leaf blower to help clean up. Initially I used a cheap blower, but then I recently got this one that has a lot more power, and makes quick work of cleanup. This one Great blower!

When everyone else is on 12V Ryobi is at 20, now everyone is on 20 and they come out with a 40V…this is the mother of all batteries. The battery charger is small and really easy to use and the blower is really powerful and quiet! You can use the trigger or use the fixed setting on the side if you don’t want to hold on to the trigger but the best feature is the Turbo Button. Soon as you push on that Turbo button it basically doubles the power. Lots of power, easy to use, really great product!
