Exceeded my (battery powered) expectations
It isn’t perfect, but it exceeded my expectations, so I’ve ranked it as 5 stars. There are some flaws; the biggest flaw is it doesn’t start when it’s cold - it just clicks. So I set up my heater beside it for an hour before I use it, if it’s -25 or more. Second flaw is not having a “neutral” drive gear - it’s nearly impossible to push without (or with dead) batteries. Overall everything else is tolerable for the value. More expensive than a gas unit, but I always have trouble with gas engines and pull starting, so I find this very reliable. It actually runs really well for me in Manitoba, where we got record breaking snow this winter. With 4x6mah batteries and 2x5mah and 2x4mah — and 12”+++ of snow it ran for an hour. Overall, I’m really happy with it. — I have other 40v tools (blower, mower, hedge trimmer and pole headge trimmer, and weed trimmer) so I’m very happy with this tool for the batteries it came with (and free blower promo). There are certainly cons to the unit — most reviewers with the problem that it won’t start in the cold, I hope they get it sorted out by temporarily heating the unit! Photo of large snowfall today. Easy to handle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and son in-law bought me this snowblower as a gift. They know my love of the Ryobi products. I have a lot of them. Being a single lady I didn’t want the hassle of gas and oils. The easy of your products is amazing. I won’t choose any other brand. The battery life lasted long enough to do 2 driveways. Perfect for what I need.

      Power To Clear
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this snow blower as soon as it became available in my area, just in time for a snow storm. It has the runtime to clear my driveway of 9” of snow on a single charge and power to cut through where the village plowed me in clearing the street. I recommend this product to friends and strangers. There are some things to be aware of when you do purchase this snow blower… The chute deflector installation instructions mention nuts that were not included or listed in the packing list, I purchased 2 metric M8 flange nuts 1.25 pitch from a local hardware store. It comes with 4 extra shear bolts w/nuts, I lost a nut during use and I replaced it with metric M6 1.0 pitch stop nut. While using, I noticed the skid shoes were loose and I lost a bolt there as well; I replaced 4 bolts, nuts and washers with 5/16x1” carriage bolts, 5/16” hex nut, and 5/16 flat washer because my local hardware store did not have metric bolts to match. My repairs were done after I cleared my driveway, and could have been prevented by tightening before use… It’s in the instructions.

        Lots of power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had only one snow storm to use this beast before the weather got freakishly warm for a New England February. To start, I am glad I got it delivered rather than trying to bring it home from the store myself. Pallet and all this thing is heavy and the delivery gentleman with the forklift was fantastic. I admit I hated putting it together. There's not a lot to do, but I have no patience for directions that aren't stated clearly and in detail so that you don't have to guess how to accomplish what they say to do. The packing list in the operator's manual is nearly impossible to find and incomplete at best. Providing a QR code to get to an installation video I thought was a really great idea - except that it doesn't work. Certainly not confidence inspiring. And the missing nuts that all the YouTube videos mention, used to attach the support pole to the machine, added to that disappointment. (Good thing it worked fine without them). Batteries charged very quickly on the dual port rapid charger. Once it was put together, it had lots of power. The battery indicators seem unreliable during use. As it was running they quickly went to half charged leading to still more disappointment. The batteries certainly didn't last as long as I hoped they would, but that could be because I tried to test the machine right away with mounds of snow that had slid off the roof. The snow blower tried hard but failed to do anything with that. I'm not sure a gas powered machine would do any better. Then I had it doing what the plow pushed up between the road and the sidewalk. It was fantastic going over and through the solid mess with no problems. When it was working it had plenty of power - but the great performance took a toll on the four batteries. I had to stop and charge them before I finished doing a small driveway, some paths, and a sidewalk. And you certainly want to make sure the machine is where you want to leave it when those batteries do die. Heed those blinking lights on the battery indicators or else you'll be pushing or dragging this 190 lb anchor the rest of the way - and that's no fun. This thing is self-propelled for a very good reason! I'm really hoping further use improves my experience with this snow blower. It sure was fun to use until those batteries give out.

          Awesome machine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Ryobi a few weeks ago and already used it twice. It has sufficient power and really works well. Easy to put together. Well built - no complaints and no gas smell or oil to check!

Reliability is pass/fail when you have to move sno
We just had 18" powder fall. 2 full set charges did 20x60' +paths & plow bank. Good: battery / power (throws powder 30+') Bad: The lights failed 1x. The chute is poorly designed. It doesn't rotate 90º left, but you can get it there manually. But.. it won't stay.. in any position. Ugly: The auger refused to spin on 2nd use. It only clicked. I eventually got it working. Drive wheels stopped working once too. When it's 5º and snowing, reliability is pass/fail. Unfortunately, this failed.

              Great blower
I was able to use this blower and give it a good test drive on a classic New England nor’easter storm in about 12 inches with snow drifts up to 2 to 3 feet. The machine worked just as good as any large two-stage gasoline powered blower with no headaches from a gasoline engine. Well designed well-built with multiple features in mind like LED lighting handwarmers etc. I would highly recommend it for homeowners with moderate to small driveways. If you have a large driveway be prepared to own more batteries and have them ready to roll when the ones in the machine dienafter about 40 minutes. I used it in a commercial setting with ease! Easy assembly with all required tools included! The discharge shoot bracket is a little flimsy but does the job. It was easy to operate, able to store inside without worrying about gasoline!

                Powerful, easy to use.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought mine about a month ago after my brand new gas snowblower died. Have had no issues, batteries will do my whole driveway on a charge. My driveway is 30 meters long and 3 car widths. Cuts through anything the plow has thrown at us so far as well. So far so good.

Gets the job done! Fast and powerful!
This snowblower is a bit intimidating at first because it has so much power! It chewed up the 15+” of snow no problem! The wide width makes for a quick single pass for walkways, making it easy to get to the outbuildings and the chickens. Let it snow!!!!
