Q:Why does Home Depot advertise these Hook and Loop backing pads as PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive) pads when they are not? Perhaps Home Depot needs to review the description they posted on this item and make a correction so customers won't get confused.

Won’t fit my RS240
This is missing the 4 locking notches that secure the disc. These indentations keep the pad on even with the screws.

Works With My Older Craftsman Orbital Sander
The backer pad on my Craftsman orbital sander (model number 315.116940) fell apart after being in storage for several years. The Ryobi backer pad fit perfectly and works great.

Not actually compatible with all 5" Ryobi random orbital sanders
This is the right size and the large holes align with the sandpaper, but the mounting holes do not align with my older Ryobi. I'm sure it fits new ones, but the box says ALL of them. The mounting plate of the old one had 8 holes (no idea when I bought it) and the blue marked holes align with the factory ones on this replacement pad (see photo). The yellow holes align with my sander. So I had to do some marking and drilling to get this to fit my sander.
The build quality looks fine, but I rated it a 3 since the quality of providing proper holes is missing.

Glad it fits Craftsman and Rigid ROS cause it doesnt fit Ryobi! The holes dont line up. Read the reviews. Will try to return.

Inexpensive, hard to find replacement
Had a Craftsman orbital sander that they discontinued the replacement pad for. Was going to purchase a new one for around $50.00. But ran across this for less than ten dollars. What a deal, matched right up and runs like new.

The velcro on my Milwaukee orbital sander backer pad would not stick any longer. This Ryobi backer pad was an exact replica and fit perfectly for $15.
