Recommended: Great for cleaning, polishing and waxing
These worked on my variable speed sander although the revolutions were a bit higher than a polisher. Used these on a stainless grill that was degreased and dried; things polished up to a nice shine. Moved on to my daughter's car hood; started with a damp pad, a light touch and was rewarded with hood cleaner than we've ever seen. The dirty pad was washed and allowed to dry and it was still pliable; a big plus that lends to the pads durability and life. It worked well to wax the hood but couldn't quite get it as clean this time but it was still soft. I guess that's the Waxing Pad now. Good product with good expected life on it.

Nice polishing pads for various polishers. While this is clearly marketed as being the accessory for the Ryobi Dual Action Polisher, it works great with other brands of polishers like the one I have. Attaches perfectly to the hook and loop pad. Great for applying polishes, glazes, and wax with a machine. I'm glad they now carry these so I can get them more easily.

I use foam polishing pads with my variable speed orbital polisher for a few different jobs. This is my first time using the set from Ryobi. My first check was that they are almost identical to the brand I was using. That’s a good thing because these are a little less expensive. They are sold in a pack of 3. They are 5 inch round, hook and loop attachment (big plus), and they seem to be a quality pad. Now, I have found that the main thing is to keep everything in motion while polishing. I use these to polish hard surface countertops quite often. In my opinion and depending on the polishing compound you use, you should be able to get nearly a 25% increase in appearance (even from factory finish) when done. For the hard surface, I start with the cutting pad with compound and then switch to this correcting pad and polish. Then I seal if needed. Works very well. I use a 6” backing plate on my DA and it is not a problem. You just have to be careful if you are polishing valleys or curves in the material you are working with. Very happy with them so far.

First time using a DA polisher. Thought I should throw that out right away. Got these pads to try on my five year old pickup. Plenty of scrapes & scratches to practice on. The bug deflector has been installed since the first week I had the truck, it had many dings and scratches and an especially bad scrape on the right tip. This correcting pad and polishing compound made this guard look like new!

I have been a builder and remodeler for 51 years, and as such I’ve done everything in the gamut, from site work to the finish trades, including fine cabinet work. Fine cabinetry for kitchens and other parts of homes often include solid surface countertops of various types. And although they are really designed for auto paint polishing, that’s what I thought I’d use these RYOBI 5 IN. FOAM DUAL ACTION POLISHER CORRECTING PAD SET (3-PIECE) for. The various grades of pads have actually worked out pretty well for polishing solid surface counters.

RYOBI 5 IN. FOAM DUAL ACTION POLISHER FINISHING PAD SET attaches to any 5" rotary or random-orbital sander by the velcro backing. I have used these pads to polish many things from plastic eyeglass lenses to guitar bodies and automobile paint. The pads come are in several hardnesses, much like grits of sandpaper. Start with the hardest, and work your way to the softest, for a glass-like shine. You also need some polishing compound.

The Ryobi 5" foam polisher cutting pads are the second step to that showcar mirror finish. The Ryobi system offers 3 types of pads for detailing: brown pads for correcting (step 1, most aggressive for use with cleaner), yellow pads for correcting (step 2, medium for use with polish ), and black pads (final step, fine polishing & wax application). Using a 3 step automotive polish system, this is the 2nd step after using the cutting pad and cleaner (if needed). I use the yellow correcting pads to apply a polishing compound which adds gloss, shine and creates a wet look appearance. The 3 step process is a lot of work, but it will make your car look like new again. These also work well on marine applications and on marble/granite counters and to polish wood. These pads have a nice density to them but also contour to curves nicely. These are intended for a Ryobi 18 volt polisher, but will work on most 5" polishers with Velcro hook & loop style fastening method. I used these successfully on my 5" random orbit hand sander.

I needed some polishing pads, these looked good so i ordered them. they arrived in new condition, the quality looks good. they are 5" hook and loop, said to be used with the variable speed dual action polisher. they work very well on my 5" hook and loop random orbit sander(pictured). the last is, they are consumable just like paint grade sandpaper, so i looked at the package and it was written in three languages but there was no grit number. i wanted to know how abrasive they were so i compared them to my paint grade sandpaper and they look to be somewhere between 400 and 500 grit and they do a nice job. i like them
