Unfortunately the backing came off the yellow foam pad so it no longer attaches to the DA polisher. I emailed Ryobi customer support about a week ago and they have not responded.

Nice polish pad set.
I use pads like this with my random orbiting sander for buffing wax on the car and they work good and take a lot of the hard work out of the process. They make polishing easier. These pads are made specifically for a dual action polisher lik the Ryobi PBF100. The set comes with three pads: (1) 5 in. Dual Action Polisher Finishing Pad, (1) 5 in. Dual Action Polisher Correcting Pad, and (1) 5 in. Dual Action Polisher Cutting Pad. This set is made in China.

This is a really handy set of good quality pads that includes 1 of the black finishing pads, 1 of the yellow correcting pads, and 1 of the red cutting pads. The pads are 5 inches diameter where the hook-and-loop material is to attach to your polisher, and about 5.5 inches in diameter at the working end. The yellow correcting pad is a little thinner than the other two. I used the red with a cutting compound and the black with the finishing compound and the results were great. I didn't use the thinner yellow one.
The package says they can be used on vehicles, boats, metal and marble.

These are pretty great. I hooked them up to my Milwaukee variable speed buffer/polisher, which actually has a seven inch hook and eye pad, but these extend a bit past the 5 inch mark and worked really well. After buffing, they don't seem to leave any unwanted marks, and do a fine job distributing rubbing compound and polish. The only drawback with this package is that I didn't know which pad to use for which application at first. I'm *pretty* sure that the red is for cutting, the yellow is for rubbing compound, and the gray is for polish/finishing. It's nice to get all three together, but it would be nicer if they were labeled somehow.

Polishing pads like this are useful for many things. Obviously, they will put a new shine on old car paint, but they can be used for many other things as well. I have used them to polish everything from guitar bodies to plastic eyeglass lenses. The velcro backing attaches to any 5" rotary sander, or can be used with the right kit on a drill, although a random-orbital motion gives the best results. You also need some polishing compound, available at any auto parts store. The pads are in several hardnesses, much like grits of sandpaper. Start with the hardest, and work your way to the softest, for a glass-like shine.

I would recommend this product to the average car enthusiast who likes to keep their vehicle looking nice and ready for shows or just to have looking nice when on the town or cruising the boulevard on a weekend night. This product makes it easier to apply waxes or polishes when needed and help repair minor defects in the paint or the clear coat so the vehicle continues looking as good as possible without the costly new paint job.
Used them once and the backing ripped off when I tried to remove them from the buffer. If it wasn’t for that I’d be happy.

Work fine for polishing. My only concern is that with extensive use, or maybe it's water or the polish, the hooks (velcro) layer on the pad seems to separate from the foam.

Disappointed
Backing came off pads after less than 15 minutes of use. I bought three more pads at home depot, same result. This new expensive polisher is a big disappointment because of the pads.
