Compact LED Light
The RYOBI 500 Lumens LED USB Lithium Pivoting Flip Light Kit 3-Mode with Battery and Charging Cable is compact and easy to use for small work areas. I like that it has a rechargeable battery. The light has two intensity options and is bright. The magnetic feature is also a great option when there is no place to hold it. I would recommend this product for multiple applications.

Great USB Flip Light, but missing a way to hang it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] RYOBI has been adding new tools to their USB Lithium line-up. Last year I created a Lantern and USB Charger/LED light that used the USB batteries. RYOBI has added two new USB LED lights. A Flip light (FVL52) and a small flashlight (FVL51). I find the Flip light to be very convenient. It has a magnetic base, 2x4" gripper, and screw mounting slots. The thing I found lacking was a light hook. So I designed and 3D printed one. I also did some battery duration and temperature tests.

Complete 180 Degree Positioning (Great Gift Idea)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After first seeing the new USB 4V line, and liking the idea of the driver, the only thing that held me back was the lack of a light option in the 4V line.
Enter the FVL52... As soon as this was released, I knew I had to buy it and order the 4V USB driver.
Within the first couple of hours of receiving it, it was called into service. It's been extremely cold today and my furnace stopped responding with my Nest. After turning off power (meaning i had no lighting in the garage) and getting the panel off my unit, I found a 3.3V fuse that needed to be replaced. The light (attached to the side of the unit) ensured my hands were free to troubleshoot the issue.
After completing the fix I found myself repositioning the light to the top of the unit to give me hands free control to place the cover back on. It was a little tough even without a light in my hands because of how cold it was, but I got the job done.
Now, with the power back on and the heat working... I knew I needed to leave a review immediately.
I'm really excited about the future of the 4V USB line and can't wait to see what's released next!

4v flip light
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 4v flip light is just awesome, one of my favorite lights with multiple uses. With the magnetic end can use under the hood to work on cars, can use on certain edges to use to fix pipes or under sinks, or can wedge in a 2x4 for working in poorly llight areas. Can take camping or use for emergency lighting like I am going to use in each of my cars, will by a few more to have on hand for outages to light up bathrooms and bedrooms. This is a must have for any Ryobi tool user or someone just needing emergency lighting.

Great little work light
A great little work light for jobs or crafts. Easy to fit in a toolbox since it folds flat. The legs hinge 180 degrees to get light on any angle you need. 500 lumens gives a nice bright light. Has 3 modes, low, medium and high. The small battery is USB but can plug in wall if you have the standard plug adapter...my iPhone plug works fine. I also have the Ryobi flashlight that uses the same battery. Highly recommend this new battery system.

Very Nice Light
This light is reasonably bright at 500 lumens, roughly equivalent to a 45w incandescent light bulb. It is directed in one direction, so it will seem a bit brighter. Everyone's needs differ, so verify this is enough light for you.
Very well thought out with a nice stable base to hold the light at any angle. There are magnets on the base to mount it to steel surfaces. The base is shaped to be slide onto 2" surfaced lumber (1 5/8").
It uses a removable rechargeable battery. This way, if you use it for long periods of time, you can have a spare battery. Most rechargeables do not have removable batteries, so once they are out of juice, you are out of luck until it recharges.

Little but mighty
Knowing that power outages are happening more and more in our area I wanted to get more battery powered lights. Knowing that I am not the best for keeping the disposable batteries on hand or remembering to make sure they are fresh I was hesitant. Yes I could get bigger ones by Ryobi that I could use my 18 volt batteries on but I wanted something easy to store. Then we saw the Flip light kit by Ryobi. The kit includes the light, battery and charging cable. These seemed perfect for me. They were small enough to carry when needed but also small enough to be stored away when not in use. When folded the measure about 6 inches by 4 inches and only about an inch and a half thick. Even with the battery they weigh hardly anything so that would make it easier for a child or elderly person to carry it. One thing I failed to notice before ordering was that the stand has magnets! I love this feature because that makes it easier for me to store but have it easily accessible. I can keep one on the side of the fridge, one attached to a tool box and one in my craft room attached to my workbench! The stand rotates approximately 180 degrees and can be stopped at any point. This makes it handy as you can put it on a counter to light up a room or even attach it to the side of appliances like the refrigerator to light you way. The 10 LED lights are very powerful! It has three different levels of lighting which I appreciate as some areas do not require the same light as other. The battery does need to come out in order to be charged which is easy enough. The included USB cord plugs straight into the battery instead of the light which maybe a good thing down the road if for some reason the battery goes bad I am sure a replacement could be ordered instead of having to replace the entire light. The light around where the cord plugs in makes it easy to know when charged. I have already found myself reaching for this handy little light when I would normally reach for my phone one or little flashlight. It even came in handy working on my truck as I was able to put it right where I needed it due to its small footprint. Thank you Ryobi for making yet another product that I never realized I would use so much!!
