I can’t get this jigsaw to cut at a reaonable perpendicular cut. The blade akways seems to bend at an angle when I make a cut! It’s frustrating.

Return it. If you read the reviews on this, you will see many people have the same issue. You can mail it in, but if you can return it and buy a better one I would do that. It’s annoying. I just use it for quick cuts and I always gotta push it to the right to cut straight.

can you use alternate Diablo blades with this tool?

It's the switch on the side to match the speed of the blade to the material you're cutting. Fancy name for a simple switch.

Speed is controlled by the trigger and orbital action is adjusted with the dial.

HD of course. But if you are not close to one when needed any hardware or box store will have them. Make sure you purchase the blade for the material you will be cutting.

Easy To Use
This was a great addition to my garage shop and I’ve used it to on many of my DIY builds. Ranging from cutting out holes for my corn hole boards to cutting out a notches for my variety of workbenches within my shop. I’d definitely recommend this tool!

Did well
Blades provided are too flimsy. Bought the Diablo fine finish blades and it worked without issue cutting the arch on my gate.

Dissapointed
I purchased this saw about two years ago and like all my Ryobi tools it preformed very well. The saw was perfect fro the small jobs i needed it for. Unfortunately the blades it came with have finally gave out. Here is where the problem starts. I went to my local Home Depot, where i bought the saw, to get replacements and the gentleman who helped me was quick to give me what he said would be the right blades for it. Unfortunately these blades did not fit at all. It is near impossible to find replacement blades for it. The design of the blade is a combination of the two most common blades on the market. Neither of these other blade designs will fit in to my saw. I have searched online and nothing is available. Home depot does not sell these blades in store or online. This is very disappointing because i have always been able to get everything i need a my local Home Depot. All my power tools are Ryobi and i have never had this problem with any of my other tools. I will now have to find a replacement brand saw to replace this one. I hate that i have to do this because I like i previously stated the saw works great.

I purchased this in 2018 & it is still going strong with no issues & perfect cuts every time (with quality blades). I did one complete home remodel, several other jobs & now in 2020 I'm remodeling another home & I couldn't be happier with how much work this has handled. This is a great item at a great price & definitely recommend it.

I didn’t get to use my Ryobi jigsaw much. When it was working it was working great and still is. The problem I have is the chuck that holds the blade popped out while I was using it. I’ve tried several times to replace it but it still pops out. Nothing on Youtube to help with this problem either. Hard to give a review on this matter.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! The guide roller for the blade has a "hardened" pin with a snap ring that keeps the roller aligned with the blades movement....it is NOT hardened at all. On my third Ryobi Speedmatch jigsaw, and it broke the pin the same way the first two did. This has to be a defective design element. Will return, and seek different manufacturer.

Works well when it works, but it broke after less than an hour of use. Metal gears aren't much good when the tiny steel pin moving the blade snaps. Guess I should have kept the box to return this junk.
