[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the folks that suggest swivel front wheels; please read this. I have years of experience of mowing lawns on hilly areas. Swivel wheels are great on level yards, but a yard on a hill, especially when cutting across the incline rather than up and down, you will find that gravity will always pull the nose of the mower downhill. It's a constant struggle keeping the mower going in a straight line. Perhaps there is a "design engineering" solution. Perhaps Rhyobi can add a "lock or swivel" feature on the front wheels; thus making everyone happy. By-the-way, I totally agree with the more aggressive real wheel design for better traction that is suggested by others. As for me, I am a very proud and happy user of Ryobi power tools, and looking very seriously at getting one of these 30" walk behind mowers. Thank you..

Cuts the lawn mowing time in half!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this the moment it hit the shelves, I love this thing it never clogs or stalls and I can get 0.52 acres of lawn cut in half the time it takes with my old 21 inch deck ryobi

            Not Worth the Money
The battery is disappointing. Advertised as up to a one acre cut, however my 3/10 acre grass regularly kills the battery. The battery does charge quickly however so just a few minutes of charging and I can generally finish the yard. The blades slow down in thin grass and there's a lag until the blade speed up when you hit thicker grass, leaving areas patchy. When bagging, there's not enough velocity from the cut grass to fill the bag and the chute tends to plug up, especially if the grass damp.

              Great green mowing solution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally, a great mower. Something isn't quite right when mowing long grass, though. We've had a lot of rain in New Hampshire this May and June and haven't been able to mow as often as I normally would. I don't know if it's the dual blade setup or something else, but I often have had to mow areas twice to get the job done. Battery life is great on dry "normal" days but less so when it's wet with long grass. Recharging is a breeze, though - so much faster than my 40V for my other house, where I need 2 batteries to get the job done. Big RYOBI fan here!

                Cool new look!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I had a previously-owned mower from this brand and enjoyed it until its demise. I was delighted to see the new model improved in appearance and volume (it seems to be a lot more quiet). The plug on it is pretty spiffy too! (Makes it possible to leave the bag off of the mower- which we like because we keep the cuttings on the lawn for mulching). Thank goodness for quality! - J’s lovebunch

Amazing Cut Quality, but had to return
I’ve never owned a mower with such cut quality! I have 10,000 sq ft of Bermuda grass and this mower cut it incredibly well. Also battery didn’t drop below 55% which was impressive! However, this mower is over 100 lbs and and loose clay/sand IT just sinks in. I had such a hard time turning the mower and even the self propelling damaged the soil a bit as it would sink and dig into the ground. I think I would’ve loved it and gave it 5 stars if it weighted half. Sadly had to return it.

                    Works great!
I have just under 1/2 an acre with a steady inclining yard (around 1 foot of rise over 8 feet of yard). This mower is perfect! The self propelled feature handles my inclining yard making the weight of the mower a non issue. Next, the cut with the 4 blades is clean and doesn’t require going over multiple times. I couldn’t have gotten a better mower for my situation.

                      Great Expectations
I received my Ryobi 80v 30inch mower two weeks ago and have three mowing’s under my belt. I have approximately 13,000 sq ft of lawn and it runs from very thick to moderately thick. I like the power this thing has, as it cuts the full 30-inch width w/o slowing down or stalling. I only mulch, and the cut is very nice. It doesn’t leave clumps of grass (as long as I mow clockwise). It is very quiet and moves very easily from sidewalk to lawn (even as high as I cut my lawn) because of the tall wheels. I can run it over the mulched areas of my landscaping and it doesn’t pick up wood chips like my 21-inch gas mower. I wanted a 30 inch so I could cut my mowing time and walking distance down in the heat of the summer because it was really fatiguing. I do like the way I can store it as it stands up and takes very little space. Now for the dissatisfying stuff. I am not able to finish my mowing and got only 65 minutes of run time before battery went into limp home mode (no blade movement, just self-propelled). Now remember, I only have 13,000 sq ft (approx. a 1/3 acre) and I can’t finish my mowing without charging the battery (because I certainly am not going to spend $900 to purchase a spare). This is substantially less than the up to 1 acre / 90 minutes of run time. I set my mower to level 6 cut height setting, which I estimate is a 2.8-inch cut height. Thank goodness the hyper charger charges my battery really fast, so I can finish cutting my lawn, well approximately in the same time as my 21-inch mower. However, the thing that was really eye opening is how much force it takes to lift the front wheels off the ground to turn. I measured the force to lift the front wheels today by getting on a scale and lifting the wheels off the ground and measured 31 lbs. on the handle bar. WOW! Even though I finished my mowing faster (assuming you don’t count the time to recharge to finish my mowing), I seem to have traded my marathon walking for an upper body work out. One other item I noticed, it is harder to guide left (not lifting the front wheels off the ground) than right. Not sure of the reason, is it gyro effect of the blades/blade being offset to the left too, or is it the overrun on the rear wheels not ratcheting as well? Now for my recommendation/not. I recommend this mower if you want a very nice quality cut, quiet and easily stored mower. If you are looking for a less time to finish mowing, it really depends on how thick your lawn is and handling is well probably like any other 30-in mower (not as good as a 21-in gas or battery mower).

Main concern was battery life. But I can get through 2 mows of my 1/3rd acre yard on 1 charge. Cuts well, super quiet. Almost feels like a toy it’s so lightweight compared to my old cub cadet.

I have only used the mower twice to mow my approximate 1/2 acre lawn. Overall I would say I am happy with this mower. I love the noise level (very low) over my old gas mower, which I had to wear ear protection. Also like the width of the mowing deck (30 inches). Things I find not so pleasing is that it is somewhat harder to maneuver around trees or beds where I need to rotate the mower. It is not as easy as my old one. Also, I am adjusting to the speed, which I find I have to adjust on the fly. I think this is something that will come the more I use the mower. It cuts very nicely and the yard looks great afterwards. The charge does not last for mowing my entire yard. This is not a problem for me as I usually divide my lawn into two parts that I mow on successive days. Charges quickly, around 1/2 hr. I am really looking forward to the lack of maintenance and gas/oil/air filter buying every year. Overall I would still buy this mower again as it's pluses outweigh its minuses.
