Intermittent power delivery
I bought these to use on my high torque pbwli01 in place of the 4ah. Pull the trigger, lights flicker, pull trigger again, and it occasionally runs the tool (over current protection it seems like). The tool has no issue with any other hp batteries I use. Ryobi has been little help and referred me to a repair facility even though they don’t work out of the box.

Long lasting battery
I got the battery for my Ryobi cordless garden tools and I’m happy that it lasts a long time. I used to have to replace the regular battery truce today finish yard work , but with this new one I can have my tools running until I’m completely done. This includes edger, blower, and the plant trimmer. It also charges with my old regular charger and it didn’t take long to charge.

High Performance is an Understatement
This is a monster, with lots of power. I mostly use 4 amp batteries. However, I recently had 2 power intensive projects, building a deck and removing an old hot tub. I went through 4 amp batteries fast. So when I had the chance to get this 12 amp I grabbed it. And I am so glad. This is powerful and it lasts. I have used in with oscillating tool, and reciprocating saw, a work light and it makes a difference.
This is heavy and large. I will only use this on tools that use power fast, like my reciprocating saw and oscillating tool. I used the oscillating tool to cut hardwood flooring and even with new blades i was changing 4 amp batteries ever 30 or 40 minutes to get the needed power. I then used this 12 amp on a new section and wow, much faster cut. It adds like 3 pounds to the tool but worth it when you need it. However it's too much weight for a tool like a drill that gets a lot of use. I also think this will be great on a USB charger to charge our phones or on a 18v light if we have a power outage.. Should easily last through most power outages.
Charging this 12 amp battery the first time was over 4 hours using my best charger. It's a long time. But after multiple hours of use and I still had half a charge. I may need to invest in a new charger. It would be good for any of my batteries. This battery fits all my Ryobi 18v tools.
If you use/need real long lasting intense power, this is a must. I still plan on using my 4amp batteries for daily use. Less weight and your arm will not get tired.

Powerhouse
I spent the better part of an afternoon with the One+ 8.0 Ah battery fitted to my chain saw, cutting some pretty heavy growth and the battery performed marvelously. The power delivery from the 18-volt powerhouse never faltered even through very thick branches and trunks. It's a small saw that I was using ( 8") but cut with a lot more authority than it had ever done before. And after all of that, I'd found that the battery still had three bars remaining on its charge. Even in 90+ degree heat, the battery's performance was stellar. Very pleased and would recommend.

POWER PLUS!
At 3.44 pounds this is a lot of battery. I did try it out on a few hand tools as well as my wife did. We found that anything you have to hold up in your hand, this was a lot of extra weight and would tire you out quickly. On the other hand tools like random orbital sander this was a big bonus. Last much long than any 4 ah battery and added a bit of weight to hold the sander in place. I think the best use for a battery this large is stationary tools, like a miter saw, light set or even the whisper fan. I had mine on the fan all day and it was still running when I had to shut down the shop. It does take several hours to recharge from completely dead to full charge so give yourself plenty of time for recharging, like 6 hours. I just did mine over night.

All day power.
The 12Ah battery is just a whole different level of performance. I’m going days between charging my battery and no longer have to worry about my tools dying randomly mid project.
As with all Ryobi 18v batteries, I’ve used this battery to run my 18v brad nailer, leaf blower, and vacuum without any issues and it was just a matter of swapping the battery to my desired tool.
The Battery comes in weighing at a hefty 3lbs 7oz. The weight isn’t bad when using it on a stationary tool but using it on something mobile such as my leaf blower did make the weight noticeable.
One thing to note with the weight of the battery when using it on portable tools such as a blower, is that it countered the natural balance of the tool making the blower want to aim upwards. Another issue I ran into was that for any tool that takes a bottom mounted battery, such as the high-volume inflator, the tool will rest on the battery itself instead of the feet of the tool.
Charging the battery on the 8A rapid charger takes about 94min from empty to full.
I will recommend getting this battery if you find yourself constantly emptying your smaller batteries and having to swap them out to keep your task going or if you are looking for all day uninterrupted service.

Beefy!
The 18v 8ah battery sure does the job! For my everyday use around the house where a majority of my 18v use goes to my yard tools, the 8ah has been awesome. Run time is fantastic on my 18v blower and I have yet to run out of power when blowing my entire driveway and surrounding area. The battery is hefty coming in at 2lb 8oz. The power indicator on the front is clear, simple to read and easy to activate with the button on the front. The locking tabs to release the battery are large and have a good grip pattern which makes them easy to depress when wearing gloves. The battery takes about 1 hour to charge from dead to full on the Ryobi rapid charger. Worked flawlessly with my other Ryobi 18v devices. What was entertaining was that the battery is so tall it makes my Ryobi inflator sit on the battery instead of the pads of the tool, this is something to be mindful of if your tool takes its battery from the bottom.

Excellent 18V 8Ah battery for anyone in the Ryobi product line
This Ryobi 18V 8Ah battery is a beast! Even when using this on my 18V Ryobi Shop Vac (which can eat a battery fast) this battery keeps going and going far beyond my expectations. Extremely satisfied, and this will run high performance Ryobi equipment with ease.
My observations:
• 8.0 Ah. Large, powerful, and efficient. This is 2nd largest 18V Ah Ryobi battery available.
• This battery comes with Cool-Core Pro tech which keeps the battery cooler and adds to its lifespan.
• More tech. Intellicell which again adds more power and lifespan.
• Fuel gauge is bright and easy to see.
• Buttons are easy to push and release from the tool. Not all batteries are this quick to change out.
• Battery is covered in a rubber molding which better protects the battery against drops and reduces vibrations.
• Rated for 300+ circle saw cuts, 50 minutes on the push mower, 31 hours on the Ryobi portable fan.
Overall, this is a high quality, durable, and ‘loaded with tech’ battery. I expect years of hard usage. I firmly recommend for anyone in the Ryobi 18V product line.

A must have!
This high performance battery is well worth buying. I can put in the Ryobi ONE+ 18V 8.0 Ah Lithium-Ion High Performance battery and not have to constantly monitor the battery power level. When it arrived I charged it on my One+ quick charger and it was ready in a few hours. We used it to run our Ryobi pole saw to cut branches along two acres of property. We worked for a long time and still had battery power left. In the past, I've had to stop and recharge before I could finish the job. I thought the battery would be much bigger due to the performance and run time, but it isn't. When attached to the pole saw, I didn't notice much weight difference. Once again, Ryobi has delivered another great quality product. I highly recommend.
