ONE+ 18V Cordless 3-Tool Storm Combo Kit with Radio, Area Light, Power Inverter, 2.0 Ah Battery, and Charger

This is a update on an earlier review and the product been replaced. (see below). So, in a nutshell, the replacement works as it should, radio tunes in stations now and holds them as one would expect. I'm also able to control the volume without loosing the station. It's a well-made unit with Bluetooth build in, but I don't use it, but may use the USB port to charge the cell - as we have power outages here in the Northwest on my road. The size is great to, small with a big sound - so you hear in the work area without taking up but a bit of space - double win, easy to pack in the tool bag and set-up. As an update to the replaced unit, we used it everywhere - on the roof to the wide-open yard with no change. Now, Ryobi reached out to me from my review - after use it a bit longer, I contacted them and within a week I had a replacement on the way, not a BIG Suprise to me as Ryobi has always stood behind their products. I said it before and again - Products you can depend on for years of hard use on the job site or just the DIY's. ***************************** Review - 28 Aug 2022 It's a Radio Mixed review here with only an average rating for the product. RYOBI Compact Radio with Bluetooth is a good-sized radio in that it's easy to move about and place on the worksite. Sound does fill the area and is clear with a deep base and nice highs. Has an on-board USB port to charge and/or power devices as you steam to it using the Bluetooth. Digital tuning can save 10 station presets, or you can of course scan for local station manually. For the most part I like the radio, can move it around, place it almost anywhere I'm working and hear it and being one+ 18v can any one of the many batteries I have. It has great deep sound, but it goes for a soft level (3) to loud (4) and if you turn the radio we lose the station - it also, goes from level (4) to hearing nothing if you turn down the volume and if you tilt the radio back the station comes back clear. My $6 pocket radio works like that. You don't always have the option to move the radio like that just so it receives better, in this case it's too big for that. I did not cover Bluetooth as I don't have any devices to connect. So, with this all said, I can only give this radio an "AVERAGE" rating as I like to just turn it on, and have it play without having to find a place it receives the signal the best.

I’m very impressed with the sound quality and clarity which is aligned with the PAD01. The only disappointment I have is that the internal antenna is subpar. I couldn’t intercept any local stations but one while all my other Ryobi radios (all with external antennas) pickup a ton of stations.

I like the compact sized battery charging base. I weighed the battery charger base with the attached wall adapter and they weighed in at 15 ounces. I measured the power consumed with my power meter and the results were 44 watts charging a 4Ah battery and one half watt without a battery in the base. There are key hole hanger slots in the bottom of the base for wall mounting. Overall, this is a good battery charger.

I got this charger to supplement my other Ryobi charger because I use several Ryobi products. This charger maxes my other charger as it charges really fast. I love Ryobi's 3-year warranty, although I doubt I'll need it because my other Ryobi tools last much longer. Because we live on solar off the grid, I also like the energy saving feature of this charger.

For me, I like to having additional Ryobi ONE+ Chargers available. I have multiple Ryobi tools that I use both outside and around the house. Additional chargers mean I can keep them in a toolbox or fixed on the bench or wall. There are some things about this 18V charger that I really appreciate. The Ryobi green color stands out and is easy to spot even from a distance. The LED indicators are convenient, bright and simple to understand. The charger circuitry protects batteries that are too hot or to cold to charge. There’s a couple minor changes I would prefer. First, the unit isn’t optimized for carry in a bag or toolbox. Next, you’ll need to factor in realistic charging times. The box and directions mention quick charging time for 1.5Ah batteries. My partially charged 6Ah High Performance requires close to two hours to full charge. I’m not an engineer or electrician, so I can’t really comment on the time, but it’s what my battery requires. Lastly, like many others, I need more Ryobi ONE+ tools and batteries to get full use from the chargers.

This 18V charger gets the job done. It's not a quick charge, it does take a few hours to charge a 4Ah battery, but I expect that the batteries will last longer with the slower charges as opposed to the quick charges. The only concern is that large AC adapter may cause some issues for some people, especially if your workspace is already using several electrical outlets. Everything else was fine with this charger and it doesn't make a sound! So for anyone who wants a silent charger, this one is definitely it. No noise whatsoever. Be careful with it though, the power cord is permanently attached and is very thin. Charges one battery at a time.

Ryobi makes an 18 volt charger, that can be interchanged with my other Ryobi products that i own, it is dependable, has long lasting run time, charges quickly, takes very little space at the charging station, I do like having an extra charger, especially if I am running the sander, or other tools, as I multi task. I have never been disappointed in any of the other tools, all are great quaility.Thanks Ryobi for the added charger.

This Ryobi charger will charge batteries for all your 18V ONE+ tools. This charger is compact and takes up little space. This can charge a 1.5ah battery in as little as 45 minutes. The indicator lights will show power to the charger, will flash while charging and will be solid green when charge is complete. The charger is designed with the ability to be mounted to the wall for quick access. I don't have the space to mount it, so I just charge on the countertop when needed. This comes with a 3 year limited warranty.

As my collection of Ryobi cordless tools increases, I continue to need chargers for the various batteries. This charger is also a quality product. It charges all sizes of Ryobi 18V One+ Lithium-Ion batteries quickly, just as the older models that I have. I do like the new "Ryobi green colored exterior as it easy easier to identify in my charger bank station). The led indicators are bright and easy to understand, and the batteries stay in place with the tabs on the battery. 5 Stars Ryobi.
