ONE+ 18V Cordless Compact Radio with Bluetooth (Tool Only)

Sound quality is nowhere near audiophile level but on par with speakers from tool companies. Bluetooth range is good. Radio reception is fine. My only complaint is that it could be louder.

This is by far the worst radio reception ever. Do not buy if you plan on listening to news weather or any other important broadcast. Definitely taking this one back. I've been very satisfied with all Roybi tools (drills drivers saws etc) but this is a waste of money in my opinion. The older style radio had an external antenna which worked for the most part when you were outside. This one doesn't even pick up 1 local radio station. Sorry Ryobi but you can do better! Papa.

This is a update on an earlier review and the product been replaced. (see below). So, in a nutshell, the replacement works as it should, radio tunes in stations now and holds them as one would expect. I'm also able to control the volume without loosing the station. It's a well-made unit with Bluetooth build in, but I don't use it, but may use the USB port to charge the cell - as we have power outages here in the Northwest on my road. The size is great to, small with a big sound - so you hear in the work area without taking up but a bit of space - double win, easy to pack in the tool bag and set-up. As an update to the replaced unit, we used it everywhere - on the roof to the wide-open yard with no change. Now, Ryobi reached out to me from my review - after use it a bit longer, I contacted them and within a week I had a replacement on the way, not a BIG Suprise to me as Ryobi has always stood behind their products. I said it before and again - Products you can depend on for years of hard use on the job site or just the DIY's. ***************************** Review - 28 Aug 2022 It's a Radio Mixed review here with only an average rating for the product. RYOBI Compact Radio with Bluetooth is a good-sized radio in that it's easy to move about and place on the worksite. Sound does fill the area and is clear with a deep base and nice highs. Has an on-board USB port to charge and/or power devices as you steam to it using the Bluetooth. Digital tuning can save 10 station presets, or you can of course scan for local station manually. For the most part I like the radio, can move it around, place it almost anywhere I'm working and hear it and being one+ 18v can any one of the many batteries I have. It has great deep sound, but it goes for a soft level (3) to loud (4) and if you turn the radio we lose the station - it also, goes from level (4) to hearing nothing if you turn down the volume and if you tilt the radio back the station comes back clear. My $6 pocket radio works like that. You don't always have the option to move the radio like that just so it receives better, in this case it's too big for that. I did not cover Bluetooth as I don't have any devices to connect. So, with this all said, I can only give this radio an "AVERAGE" rating as I like to just turn it on, and have it play without having to find a place it receives the signal the best.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this radio, just FM mode ( haven’t listen to AM since 70’s) speakers sounds really great. No external antenna so was worried about reception but did really good in the country, has nice base so when adding battery it’s well balanced. I have the other small ryobi radio ( 4-5 years) and bought this to add on incase the other goes out. Definitely a must have to update your Ryobi audio section.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Came with a drill purchase. The sound is good! Pairs easily with phone. It's nice to be able to swap in a fresh battery anytime. Radio reception was fine outside, but inside it is weak. Overall I like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it as an add on from purchase of a new Ryobi impact with 375 lbs of torque, so far an awesome radio. See a few complaints about no AM station, to me I haven’t listened to AM since the 70’s so no big deal. Does have Bluetooth to connect to your phones, and also has a USB port so can play and charge at same time. Speaker is very nice clear and crisp, it’s will balance with battery on back so definitely would recommend this Ryobi PCL600 to anyone who goes camping, hiking, or to the beach.

I’m very impressed with the sound quality and clarity which is aligned with the PAD01. The only disappointment I have is that the internal antenna is subpar. I couldn’t intercept any local stations but one while all my other Ryobi radios (all with external antennas) pickup a ton of stations.

I am an advocate of all things Ryobi because of the superb quality and value of their tools and this compact radio with Bluetooth lived up to expectations. There was an issue with the first radio received but I was quickly contacted by the Ryobi folks when they learned of the problem. After discussing the issue they immediately sent a replacement – again demonstrating the superb quality behind the Ryobi brand. I would have preferred an AM band mode be included in addition to FM and Bluetooth but I am old-school. The availability of broadcasts over the internet and the numerous providers of subscription music, news, podcasts, etc. are replacing the need for AM band. This radio has terrific sound quality and is constructed very solidly using quality materials. Overall, I am very happy with this unit and would recommend.

When working in my shop I sometimes get tired of listening to podcasts or the music on my smartphone and want to listen to the radio. I can’t do that with my other Bluetooth speakers, but I can with this new RYOBI ONE+ 18V Compact Radio with Bluetooth. I always have a RYOBI ONE+ battery around to power my drills, sanders, handheld router or etc. so I never have to be concerned about forgetting to charge my Bluetooth speaker/radio. I can set 10 FM stations on the presets, so I am only a button press away from my favorite stations. The sound god, but not what you would get from an in-home stereo system, but that isn’t its purpose. And, it has plenty of volume so that I can hear the music even with my dust collector and CNC machine running in my shop - I like that! I recommend the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Compact Radio with Bluetooth for anyone needing a nice radio and Bluetooth speaker.

Bother Ryobi compact Bluetooth speaker and raido is a great addition to your ryobi collection. This is powered you your already invested in tool batteries, for music on the job or while lounging and relaxing. Sound quality is great for a single speaker. When connected to Bluetooth and you receive a phone call, the music will auto pause and you can then answer the call and once your done, it will resume the music!. I have listened to county music through some EDM and it all sounds great from the single speaker. You will be pleased with this 18v compact speaker.
