Great as a tile grout cleaner with 2nd brush
The reason I purchased this was I've been looking at tile grout cleaners and all the products I found online that have a brush were not battery powered and under powered, plus I am Ryobi ONE + user and wanted tile use my batch of 18v battery packs. I took a calculator guess thinking this would work and bought a third party nylon red brush wheel and installed it, replacing the metal wire brush. Worked great with bleach tile cleaner!

    Does the job!
Definitely worth it. Make sure you have an extra battery!
      Clean that sidewalk
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am getting ready to replace an old wooden disability ramp with a cement one. Need clean sidewalk.

        interesting cleaning tool
This lightweight, portable wire brush tool is designed to clean crevices and seams between brick, flagstone and concrete pavers. It is easy to use, with multiple good features. The brush tool has a adjustable height handle, assisting handle for better control, and wire brush guard. The brush is mounted on one side of the bottom, the other side has a wheel. It works quite well, easily handling dirt, small plans, moss that grows between flagstone pavers. The tool is very easy to operate, even with one hand. The handle adjusts easily for a comfortable control of the tool. Overall, this is a neat little power brush tool to clean cracks, seams and crevices between various surface covers. It works well and efficiently.

        Works very well!
The Ryobi Outdoor Wire brush is a great addition to my home and garden tools. It is lightweight and easy to handle. It is not loud at all. I guess it could be louder depending on your job. This model came with a battery and charger, but the batteries from my other awesome Ryobi tools will fit. That is such a great plan that the company has - the same batteries fit almost all of the tools. The battery snaps into place in the handle and you are ready to clean a surface that is tough enough to handle a power wire brushing. Make sure to read the directions well and follow all of the safety advice. There is the possibility of bits being thrown back or up, so wear good pants and safety glasses. I tested my new wire brush on the moss that grows on my driveway near the house. Moss on the north side, it’s a fact. I have had to get on my knees to scrub it away by hand with a wire brush in the past. This Ryobi tool made quick work of the job. The brush cuts a narrow swath, but it is so easy to maneuver back and forth that it is no problem. I was trying to hold a phone and watch to take a video for you, so it would be a better job if I was paying attention to only the work. I did accidentally find that I could lift the left wheel up, rest it on the right brush side only and easily swipe side to side to cut a bigger swath. I am not telling you to do that, however, but the tool is so lightweight that it could happen… I think it will be smart to sweep up the target area before using the brush in the future. But you see after cleaning up all the debris afterwards there is a much cleaner asphalt without moss. Good tool!

Perfect for cleaning expansion joints in concrete!
Ryobi has impressed me once again with this wire brush patio cleaner. It is light, quite and very easy to use. The build quality seems a little iffy but sufficient for what this patio cleaner does. The patio cleaner worked great to get moss and grass out of the cracks, expansion joints and in between my pavers. It didn’t perform as well at getting weeds out of cracks in the asphalt, but I couldn’t pull those weeds out by hand either so that makes sense. The included 2 amp hour battery lasted about 20 minutes until I had to change it.

        Super Sidewalk Crack Cleaner
WOW! I am use to just spraying the cracks with a weed killer, and the weeds keep coming back. This little tool does a killer job of grabbing the weed and yanking it right out so it does not grow back. The battery lasts a long time, 30 minutes and it was still kicking the weeds out. Its light and easy to use. I let a neighbor borrow it and she fell in love with it. She's older and has a hard time using heavy power equipment. You just roll it along and it plucks the weeds and grass out of the cracks. It stores well cause I use a hook system and it sets against the wall. I like that the brush is heavy duty. This is a great tool that you need for sidewalks or those patio blocks that you put together to make sidewalks or sitting areas in your yard. Its well worth the money and it saves your back from all the bending over and the knees especially.

        Perfect expansion joint cleaning tool
This thing is great for cleaning out expansion joints in concrete. I was a bit skeptical of this after trying a patio sweeper that was not that great. But this tool really does a good job. I have a lot of concrete and a lot of joints (driveway, 2 patios and about a hundred feet of sidewalk around the house. Some of it (especially that near some trees) tends to get a bit of build up between pressure washes which I only get around to maybe every other year. Small plants, moss and general dirt and gunk builds up in those joints. This is just the thing t give the joints a quick cleaning without the hassle or mess of dragging out the pressure washer. Just go over it quickly then blow it out with a blower and it is as clean as clean can be and the job is not so messy as when using water. See the picture of just how clear it gets a joint. This thing gets all the way down in the joint with very little effort and very little time. The wheel cover is pretty easily removed with the hex wrench it comes with. (I took it off just to see how easy that ask was and it was simple. I never looked at a book. Did not have to. I’ve not yet tried to find a replacement wheel so not sure how hard those will be to find but I would not think too hard. All in all this is a great little tool for the job. I’ve long wished there was an easier way to keep those joints clean. Now there is. This one was well done Ryobi.

        Very quiet, well designed.
This is a well engineered tool and very easy to use. The assembly required is minimal and requires no tools. Essentially the parts just snap together and there is one wingnut to fasten the hand grip at the optimal height. The package includes: Tool containing the motor Wheel that snaps on the left. Brush head that snaps on the right Handle that snaps onto the shaft and is tightened in place with the wingnut. Battery that snaps into top of the tool. Charger An allen wrench used to eventually replace the wire brush Instructions (which are pretty much all power tool warnings) The length of the handle is easily adjusted by flipping up a small latch to unlock it. I am 6’6” and I am able to extend it to the right length for me. The wire brush has a diameter of 4.5” There is a power switch safety lock that is easy to activate when using the tool. The 2Ah battery is on the small side but it is the standard Ryobi 18V format so any of the 18V batteries can be used. I was impressed with how quiet it is. I was able to clear moss and algae easily from small areas. There is a three year limited warranty. (Tool and battery) Made in China

        Great for control joints.
Our sidewalks have to have control joints to handle our winters. But dirt tends to collect in them. The next thing you know, we have stuff growing in them. This wire brush does a great job of cleaning them out. It does not get out deep rooted weeds, but it does clean out the dirt, and making digging out the weeds a lot easier. If I clean out the joints once a month or so, I shouldn't have that problem. This tool is going to see a lot of use in the future.
