This thing is a compact powerhouse!
I work in construction doing demolition and remodeling and I cut everything from drywall to 4x4s with this saw, and I've never had it even stall. as long as your blade is sharp, this thing will get you through anything you need to cut. I've put this tool through daily extreme use and it hasn't failed me yet. The only downside is that after about 4 months of abuse, the tilting shoe got a worn out pen on the inside. so now the shoe folds flat, but easily replaceable for less than $10 online. this wasn't any fault to the tool, this would have happened with any sawzall over time. Fantastic tool from Ryobi and I will be purchasing another one in the future!

Easy to use
This reciprocating saw is perfect for jobs were you need a lightweight, yet powerful saw and don't feel like dragging out your heavy, corded saw.. I already have several Ryobi 18v tools with batteries so I was glad I could get just the tool itself. The quick release makes changing blades a snap. It has a .625" stroke length (less than a typical corded one) and weighs around 5 pounds. Being cordless affords me the opportunity to use this in places where extension cords are a hassle to use.

BEATS THE COMPITITION
While shopping online the RYOBI ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless Compact One-Handed Reciprocating Saw (Tool Only) caught my eye and I decided it was time for an upgrade and I'm so glad I did. Other than being lighter than my old saw, there will be no more fighting with the extension cord while using and I like the fact that's it's one handed and very comfortable to hold and control. The Ryobi come with one basic wood blade which is easily inserted and released with a quick easy flip of the quick release lever. At the time I chose the Ryobi, I didn't realize it was for the tool only, so my initial test of it I used the 18 volt battery from my older model Ryobi 18 volt cordless drill and it worked just fine although the older batteries are much larger, so I'll have to invest in a battery and charger. Overall I am completely satisficed with my selection.

Handy and lightweight for light to medium jobs
The Ryobi One+ Brushless Compact Reciprocating Saw is handy for light to medium weight jobs so common in DIY work. You avoid dragging out extension cables and rolling them up again after the task. A standard 2Ah battery gave me about 6 1/2 minutes sawing time in wet sticky tree roots as I was trying to get some big stumps out. You should probably consider a 4Ah HP battery as the minimum to get best performance from this compact tool. I would expect it to do much better in decent dry lumber but the great thing about reciprocating saws is they can cut just about anything and being battery this one can cut just about anywhere as well. I think this saw will get a lot of rides on my tractor where extension cords are just not an option and old wire fencing would destroy a chain saw. The light weight makes the saw easy to handle and the compact size is also easy to carry or store.

Powerful saw with great selection of blades for cutting
The Ryobi One 18 volt brushless one handed reciprocating hand saw is very light which makes it the tool to go to if you want to cut anything. The foot is nice and tight but you can adjust it at any angle depending on what you are cutting. The battery will last longer than you will need for any project so you don't need to carry any extra batteries around with
you. The blade selection has blades to cut anything and changing it is very simple with a small tab on the side of the tool you just pull up and the blade releases, you don't need to carry around any extra tools to get blades out. One batterie fits all the tools and that makes it convenient.

lightweight and brushless motor
I’m looking forward to using this RYOBI ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless Compact One-Handed Reciprocating Saw. It is relatively lightweight (weighs 5.6 pounds without battery), and it is well-sized for a few DIY projects that I have in mind. However, this is the tool only, so you need to purchase a battery / charger before using. It has a brushless motor which means a quality product has been produced. A 3 year manufacture's warranty proves my point.
