Ryobi Conical Burr for Rotary Tools
I got this as an alternative to similar pricy items from the big D or the imported crap from the mighty river. If you have used this type of rotary bit, you know pretty much what you are getting, and they all seem pretty much the same. I will admit I was impressed with this. I chucked it up in my cordless and cleaned up the edges on some hacksaw-cut aluminum scrap. Used at medium speed I had very little chatter and material removal was faster than I expected without bearing down to bog the tool. Lightening up the pressure, it still cut well and left the the edge down right shiny, almost like it was polished. I am getting a bit shaky in my old age, so the waviness is mine, but the finish I'll attribute to the tool. Nice quality overall, as you can see in the pictures. Long term durability may be an issue, but after going through several sets of the cheapies, I'll take what I can get.

Very sharp and cuts well

The RYOBI 1/4 in. ball end cone burr is a great addition to a tool kit for general purpose cutting, grinding, and shaping. I have used my ball end cone burr to do some engraving in wood. In addition, I have used this cone shaped accessory to de-burr pvc pipe cuts. I highly recommend the RYOBI 1/4 in. ball end cone burr for the professional woodworker, equipment installer who needs to adjust a mounting hole or create a mounting slot. In addition, I highly recommend the RYOBI 1/4 in. ball end cone burr for the homeowner who dabbles in arts and crafts projects.

So easy to engrave
My wife's latest craft hobby requires her to do some engraving in several materials, mostly wood. This little burr allows fine engraving without having to break out a bigger tool like a palm router. With Ryobi's 18V cordless rotary tool, she can now engrave without limits. Even my 14-year old daughter is picking it up.
This 1/4 ball end is the perfect size and she even has the 1/8 ball end. Whether its wood, plastic, or metal, my wife can now make quality engravings. For those in this craft, Ryobi makes a great tool and great consumables to go along.
This burr shows no sign of wear after 45 minutes of use and I expect a longer lifetime than other brands. Even if not, these bits are reasonably priced.

Nice carving Tool
I really like this Ryobi 1/8 inch carving and engraving tool. This tool is good for making straight lines or corners. This Tool is suitable for use in Plastic, Wood , or metal. This Tool is capable of up to 35,000 RPM use and is used with Ryobi Tools and is also comparable with Dremel tools. This is a nice thought tool that will last a long time, and you will be happy with this purchase.

Great engraving tool
The RYOBI Rotary 1/4 inch ball-end engraving and carving tool for metal, plastic and wood is a great burr from the do-it-your-selfer to the professional. It can be used to grind away any interference on project being worked on, or to carving an artistic creation. It has course teeth which eat away the material rapidly, The 1/4 shank will fit most rotary tool.
