Q:I am trying to change the guide bearing on the rabbet bit to a larger size (for a more shallow cut). The provided allen wrench is not budging the nut. Any suggestions? Is the nut removed in the usual "lefty loosy" direction? This is a new set of bits.

A:  Like any high speed tools. I would strongly suggest a pre inspection. Make sure everything is tight. As to purchasing separately just match up the bearing at local hardware or auto parts store.

A:  I could not find any. This is a terrible bit set. I used one size one time on a very small project and burned up the bearings. Could not return it fast enough.

They don’t stay sharp very long. I only did 5 draw fronts before the bit started burning the wood (cherry) so I had to do quite a bit of sanding to remove the burn marks. They are cheaper and might work for pine. I haven’t used it yet, but I purchased a Diablo router bit.

Needed a 1/4 roundover for a shoerail for my stairs. Worked as expected but I bought the kit in case I need something for future projects. Great for the casual or moderate DIYer. I would recommend it.

Like it. Highly recommend the package.
Great little kit. Had all the drivers and screw gun connections I needed. However, dang…those pieces are so tight it’s extremely difficult to pull the pieces out of the box’s plastic receptacles with my baby soft hands. Great product nevertheless

                Bearing set screw angled
I bought this set for the 1/8" round over bit. When I was ready to do my project, I opened the case to find that the machine screw that holds the bearing on was off center (See the attached photo). It was either bent or the bit was tapped at an angle, I didn't unscrew it to find out. This only appeared to be an issue on that one bit, but due to the non precision nature I couldn't trust it. Not willing to risk the potential for a catastrophic failure at high RPM - easily retuned for a refund in store and purchased a higher quality bit set for a higher price from a different retailer. I cannot comment on cut quality or longevity because I was unwilling to spin these on my router.

Beware - there are at least two of these kits, and they're different.
The picture on the website is of the Roundover Bit Set (A2RS41). The website said there are 3 in my local store so went down and bought one. But when I got it home, I realized that I'd bought the Decorative Router Bit Set (A25RS42), which looks incredibly similar.

These Ryobi bits make nice, smooth edges on wood. I thought they were a little expensive, and the largest bit would not fit through the base of my Ridgid 18v trim router. I used these bits to round the edges on a 1/8 x 2" oak strip that I used to transition a floor from tile to oak plank. The edges are nice and smooth and even. I sanded them just for general purposes; they didn't require sanding, and they would have worked fine without any further sanding or smoothing.

Work very well in Ridgid Trim Router
I bought these roundover bits to use in a Ridgid Trim Router. They worked very well and had no issues. The plastic case is a bit disappointing as a nice pouch would have been better - the plastic keeps unsnapping. The bits themselves are performing flawlessly - glad I bought them.. There ya go!

Broke the first time I used it
I purchased them 5 hours before this review was written. The 1/8 roundover ball bearing fell apart the first time I used it. It lasted maybe 90 seconds. Cheaply made. Very poor quality. They are rated for max 28000 rpm. My router has a max of 25000 rpm and the ball bearing still exploded on the first pass. Do not buy!!!
