A:Â Hello DiverBro! Yes these can be used. Porcelain tiles have more of a refined material, please do not apply too much pressure. Thanks for your question! - Eve

A:Â Yes. They bent. Not only that, they appear to be mis-sized. The 3/16 was not large enough for supposed 3/16 inserts, needed 1/4 for the 3/16 . Not a good choice

A:Â I am afraid I have not.. I have used them on outdoor ceramic pots and ceramic candle holders without any issue.

Don't waste your money!!!
Drilling holes for a shower door on ceramic tile. Using the 1/8 inch for a pilot hole then 3/8 inch for final hole size. The 1/8 inch worked for one hole and the tip fell off on the second hole. Drill on low speed,

Use common sense
So these worked flawlessly for what I needed them for. Had to drill 6 holes in ceramic tile for a grab bar. The key is to use some masking tape to prevent slipping. Start SLOW I cannot stress this enough!! Let the bit do the work and DO NOT use a hammer setting or impact driver, just a regular drill. Once you are through the surface of the tile you can speed up a little. Once you get through the tile. Switch your bit to whatever is appropriate for the material underneath. Keep in mind, drill bits are a consumable item. But with proper use and care you can prolong the life of the bit

Got these to drill holes to install a new shower door, Drilled through the tile without a problem, did not run and did not crack the tile. The holes were very clean cut. Cut 4 holes each with two different size bits, did not show any signs of dulling. Would recommend these for tile work.

The drill bits worked well for the first 8 plates I choose to drill. After that the drill bit lost its sharpness and failed to work. So my final evaluation is that they work well however don’t last very long.

I needed to make 3 or 4 holes in ceramic tile in order to secure a towel bar in a shower area. I did not realize until after completing my project, that these bits are "Not for ceramic tiles" as that statement is printed on the backside of the product packaging. I did substantially ruin 2 of the 3 bits I used for my project (see picture), although I successfully drilled 4 holes through my 7mm ceramic tile. Even though the bits were ruined, this product proved to be an inexpensive solution for me as compared to other much more expensive tile bits. It is important to keep the drill bit hydrated and cooler by spraying water on the bit during the drilling process, as it generates intense heat that (eventually) will completely wear the blade.

Tip Broke in Hole One of Four - Disappointing
Brought this because of the brand, but was very disappointed when the tip snapped off, drilling about 1/4 inch into porcelain tile. I was drilling slowly, about 150 RPM, well within the mfg. guideline of 350 RPM. Yet another project delay. :-(
