This compact Ryobi tire inflator uses the convenient smaller Ryobi battery. It arrived with a handy charging unit, as well as the battery itself. One feature missing is the ability to inflate without holding down the ON button. It took me a full 10 minutes to gain 3 pounds in a car tire. Perhaps this unit is best used for a bicycle tire. A good feature is the compact size.

This is a pretty great little tool to have. I've gotten a bit tired of hauling out the air compressor every spring to fill up all the floating toys that go into the pool. In addition to the noise of a conventional compressor, you have to deal with the hose and bleeding the excess pressure at the end and so on. This tool has none of those issues. You can take it wherever, and inflate what you want to. Of course it's lower capacity than a full-size air compressor, so it takes a bit of time to fill things. I wouldn't want to fill, for example, a flat car tire with it, though I'm sure you could in a pinch. It comes with appropriate accessories so you can fill Presta or Schraeder tire valves, a pin for sports balls, and some bigger nozzles for things like pool toys. Definitely a need thing to have on hand.

Intended primarily for use in inflating bicycle tires, sports balls and other small tires (such as wheelbarrow tires), although the manufacturer’s literature indicates use to “top off” vehicle tires, this inflator is an alternative to a hand-operated air pump. The included mounting straps facilitate securing to the bicycle frame and included Presta adapter provides for use on bicycles equipped with Presta valves. Additionally, a needle adapter (which can be attached directly to the inflator without the hose) is provided for inflating sports balls (although the instructions caution that for inflation pressures less than 10 psi, the use of a separate low pressure gauge is required. The inflator package includes the inflator, a 4 volt, 2 Amp Hour lithium battery, USB-C charging cable, six inch flex hose with locking air chuck as well as the needle and Presta adapters. A storage compartment for the adapters and a docking slot for the hose (when not in use) is provided. A backlit LCD digital pressure gauge is integral with the tool (although it appears to read in 0.5 psi increments) for monitoring inflation pressure. When the tool is actuated an LED work light illuminates the area in front of the inflator. The battery incorporates an indicator to indicate charge/charging status. The inflator is rated for a maximum inflation pressure of 100 psi. In use, the lack of a swivel fitting on the flex hose may result in the gauge being at a difficult position to read in order to position the air chuck properly. When used to “top-off” a vehicle tire it took approximately 75 to 90 seconds to increase tire pressure from 34 to 35 psi. While not meant to be a replacement for a full size compressor, the small size and convenience will be useful around the garage for topping off small tires (wheelbarrow, snow blower, riding mower, etc.). A 2-year, limited warranty is included.

So much easier than manually inflating or using bicycle tire pump and much more convenient than pulling out a large air compressor. Also handy for topping off your vehicle tires. This one is a small, easy to manage size. Comes with a battery pack and USB charging cable. Makes quick work of inflatables. A tool you didn't realize you needed until you get one!

The Ryobi USB Lithium inflator is compact but works great. It is very easy to store and will come in handy in the future. I have used it on bicycle tires and sports balls so far. My plan is to keep this in the glove compartment so I cN easily top off tires when needed, or inflate sports balls at practice. This is intended to top off veichle tires, not inflate from very low. The battery charges with a USB c common cellphone cable which is super nice when out on the go, ir easy to top off at home. The battery does have a wat to tell you how full like most bigger tool batteries, but you can simply top off every now and then based off your needs. This is my new goto inflator for topping tires off or sports balls.

I picked this up thinking it would be good to keep in a sports bag and in our garage for quickly pumping up sports balls. I have a cheap one from a large online retailer, but since I already have some 4v Ryobi tools I thought this would be better. This is much better than what I already had and I am very happy with it. The inflator holds the hose, needle, and schraeder valve inside of it. I like the removable batter, the bright screen, and the simple one button use. It inflated the basketball from 3.0 PSI to 8.0 PSI in less than a minute which is quicker than the other handheld one I have. The quick easy storage is very nice and overall I am happy. I have mixed feelings about my new RYOBI USB Lithium High Pressure Inflator Kit with Battery and Charging Cable! As a bicycle and small tire pump, I think it’s great, but since Ryobi decided to say it could be used to top off your car tires too, I decided to take them to task. I reduced my car’s tire pressure to 27 psi and got my new Ryobi inflater out. SEVEN minutes later, my tire pressure had 27 ½ psi, and I had a sore back from bending over! I’m just glad I had an air compressor standing by! Like I said, if you stick with small tires, I don’t see any problems, but don’t waste your time thinking it’s going to inflate a car tire.

I really don’t think the air pump would have the power,,, I was so wrong, It works great !!! For being so small it really has a lot of power. It’s so convenient to store away and keep handy . It charges with a usb cable, there’s a built in place for the hose . It also comes with a needle attachment for all types of balls . It’s really diverse, you could keep it in your backpack if you’re biking. It fits in most glove compartments , it has a light so you can light up the area you’re working. Ryobi has really done a great job with this portable air pump … Awesome !!! Grab one before they’re all gone!!!! .
