Hi, Inside your sauna you should have an ionizer. This small unit plugs in to AC power and 'cleans' and 'purifies' the air inside the sauna. Sauna's usually come with this unit and they simply attach to the upper inside wall with screws. There is a small fan inside that circulates the air when turned on. My unit has a opening on the back where these 'fragrance pads' are inserted. I open a small circular door and remove the old one and insert new. These are simply for 'air freshener' purpose. I would think you could still use it as an air freshener without the ionizer machine. Simply attach it to the side of the wall somewhere. But you should have an ionizer inside your sauna!
